There might be nothing finer that walking New Orleans - in almost any season - in the early morning and there is no finer walk than following the streetcar line from Canal to Carrollton. Once you have done that, treat yourself to pecan waffles at...More

Early, late or in-between, this is a great restaurant to please every taste. This time, it was the cheeseburger and fries that I was craving.

We had a great time here, the food was excellent and so was the service!! I would highly recommend this place. It is a small dinner with lots of history. My son and I had great time and enjoy the food. Try the pecan pancakes!!

We had breakfast here. When it says grill it means grill. Seating for about 24 people at counter, no tables. Two grills cooking with an ample number of waiters. You get your meal fast but that's about it. Lots of butter and grease on everything....More

Came here for late lunch out of nostalgia. This was a favorite late-night supper after work for me many years ago. Had not been back for 12 years and was disappointed. Food was definitely barely average based on my previous experiences. We had a hamburger...More

We came here solely for the grilled pecan pie. While the pecan pie was amazing, we took issue with the place smelling nasty, and that the cooks were not wearing gloves. Generally this isn't an issue, however 3 of the cooks were outside smoking when...More

Take the St Charles street car line to the "bend" in the tracks. About a 25 minute ride from Canal Street. Ask the driver, they will let you know when you reach the stop. Then enjoy one of the best breakfast or burger choices you...More

Go early. All 'seats' are stools at the bar. The cooks are all visible and fun to watch. Food is excellent! Omelets are HUGE!

Uptown / Carrollton
Very much their own self sufficient unit within the
greater metro area, Uptown and Carrollton tone down
the urban edge with a friendly attitude and collegiate
feel. Home to Tulane and Loyola Universities, all the
students living in the area ensure that Uptown and
Carrollton stay youthful, cosmopolitan and vibrantly
fun. Two of the liveliest thoroughfares for nightlife
and socializing (and yes of course more of the city’s

I was last in the Camellia 20 odd years ago, do they still have the house special that they bet you can't eat it all? I can't remember if they let you have it for free if you ate it all? My mate cleared his plate though! The waiters all came round saying "he did it, he did it!". A must stop if you are anywhere near New Orleans

I really don't know. We were at the Camilla Grill right off St. Charles at the end of the streetcar line. I remember seeing it on the menu but I was focused on the pecan waffles.
