Veteran New Orleans travelers brought us here for breakfast on Sunday morning. Arrived about 9am and no wait. Sat on the corner of the counter so we could talk. Saw a fella next to us eating a hamburger and knew that was my choice. Yum!!...More

Classic burger joint doing it right. Food is prepared well. Burgers are fresh and grilled nicely on a flattop. Beans and rice are awesome. Creamy with great flavor. Pecan pie grilled and served with ice cream is a perfect desert. Great service and fair pricing.

This diner has been around since the 40s and still has that retro style. We had hamburgers and they were delicious and well priced. Staff good fun too. Right by a streetcar stop on the St Charles line so easy to get to.

I have heard so much about The Camellia Grill that I guess my expectations were set a little high. I knew that we would have to wait but once seated I didn't experience any of the " fun & lively staff " that others have...More

I've been here a few times. First for breakfast and had eggs and it was fun and a novelty. Good breakfast but you will be sitting at a counter. The staff is lovely and fun. The next time I was with some hungry college kids...More

I think this is the only restaurant that I've ever been to where it is just counter seating inside. They have maybe 20-25 seats. It is pretty neat getting to watch them make the food while your waiting for or eating your food. The servers...More

When you see a restaurant with lines out the door - pretty much all the time - and everyone is saying how "you just have to" try The Camellia Grill, perhaps one will be forgiven for having high expectations. Basically, The Camellia Grill is an...More

The Camellia grill is an old style diner with bar stools around several attentive servers at the counter. We did have to wait some time for a seat but it was well worth the wait for a great meal (omelette and burger for the 2...More

I really don't know. We were at the Camilla Grill right off St. Charles at the end of the streetcar line. I remember seeing it on the menu but I was focused on the pecan waffles.
