This is a dated, seedy restaurant that serves institutional food. My husband and I ordered two different entrees but they both arrived with the exact same glob of gluey mashed potatoes and soggy vegetable medley drowning in salty mystery sauce. You can get better food...More

A visit to Brigtsen's is well worth the trip to the Riverbend area. Our dinner at Brigtsen's surpassed our expectations which were already high! To begin, we were warmly greeted by our hostess and waiter. Drinks arrived promptly with fresh warm French bread as well....More

It's about 3.5 miles from the French Quarter, we took the streetcar and the restaurant is a couple blocks away. It is in a residential area and the house has a homey feel. For starters I had the gumbo and it was good. Had the...More

Haven't been in many years, but immediately felt at home. Warm, excellent service in an old house. Very charming. Excellent food, best of the trip. The duck is amazing, so tender and juicy with crispy skin. Off the beaten path, well worth the $13 Uber...More

the chef is a genius and anything he turns out is great! the fish of the day is always a good bet and the pecan pie is a classic! small rooms in a big house bring the noise level down...service is excellent.

Wonderful experience-I was at a meeting with colleagues and we picked it off the internet while looking for something outside the French Quarter and thinking we might find a gem if we were willing to travel to a neighborhood. Even though we weren't sure how...More

Well worth the Uber ride from the French Quarter. The butternut shrimp bisque was delicious. My husband would also highly recommend the seafood sampler. Expert wait staff and a fancy, but not not at all stuffy, dining room.

There is in street parking. We just took the trolley from our hotel on St. Charles St and walked the few blocks to the restaurant.
