Great choice in the French Quarter. More intimate than some of the spots near Burboun St. and a perfect place to bring a date. Servers are excellent and food choices limited; they simply know what they cook best. Don't expect Chicken Parm and Olive-Garden-type food,...More

Although we were recommended Irene's because it was an Italian-infused restaurant, and the menu did not have many Italian dishes, the food was superb! We had a bit of a wait -- maybe 30 minutes -- because we walked in, instead of making a reservation...More

Recommended by locals, we loved it and Orlando is the best waiter! You do need reservations since it is a very busy restaurant. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! The pecan praline bread pudding was soooo good!

This is my third time to Irene's. I wanted basic meatballs and spaghetti and they created it even though not on the menu. Also added Italian sausage . SO GOOD! Great service. Great wine too. I will return!!

I've written 109 restaurant reviews on trip advisor and have to publicly state our experience at Irene's was the best service we've ever had at a restaurant. We had our in-laws in town and were at Irene's to celebrate our 6th anniversary. It was also...More

Many trips to New Orleans and finally tried Irene's. Would not return. Caesar salad was underdressed and tasteless. No anchovy and no detectable seasoning of any kind. Asparagus appetizer was better, but husband described it as "unremarkable". $48 rib eye special was cooked perfectly, was...More

This restaurant came highly recommended by some locals we encountered. The place is attractive in a classical sense and full of character. Sadly, it is crowded, dark and VERY noisy. We were jammed into a four seat table, more suitable for two, right beside the...More

We visited Irene’s Cuisine with high expectations this being the first time we dined at Irene’s. We were a party of six. Reservations had been made but still had a waiting time of twenty minutes. Once seated we proceeded to order appetizers and drinks. The...More

This was simply an awesome dinning experience we where here on our honeymoon and walked in off the street. The staff was so nice and helpful and made us feel welcomed and at ease. The food was hands down some of the best Italian food...More

To be fair, let me start by saying that the food we had was good. But the service completely let us down. We were a party of five, and went for dinner on 11/22. When one person in our group mentioned that she wanted to...More

French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty
Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port
of call for folks in search of a good time and a great
story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs
across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied
around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively
well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the

Actually, we went and we brought our wine with us. Worked out perfectly and the corkage fee was a modest $15. Of course we would not do this if ordering from the menu but it was a special bottle.

Call at least a week in advance, the fact that you are flexible with dates will help.
