As stated in another review, you can smell the wonderful aromas of this restaurant before you round the corner of the street. We were impressed at the friendly greetings of everyone that worked here. Wish every restaurant treated their customers like they treated us. They...More

We make sure to come to Irene's every time we are in New Orleans (usually once a year.) It is simply a fantastic restaurant. The tables are pretty close together, but you can still have a conversation with the people at your table. The food...More

Food here was amazing. everyone got something different and we all tried it all. the escargot was especially tasty. Wait staff was great. Atmosphere is cozy. They were very accommodating for a larger group in a tight space. Even while we waited the cocktails and...More

Great choice in the French Quarter. More intimate than some of the spots near Burboun St. and a perfect place to bring a date. Servers are excellent and food choices limited; they simply know what they cook best. Don't expect Chicken Parm and Olive-Garden-type food,...More

Although we were recommended Irene's because it was an Italian-infused restaurant, and the menu did not have many Italian dishes, the food was superb! We had a bit of a wait -- maybe 30 minutes -- because we walked in, instead of making a reservation...More

Recommended by locals, we loved it and Orlando is the best waiter! You do need reservations since it is a very busy restaurant. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! The pecan praline bread pudding was soooo good!

This is my third time to Irene's. I wanted basic meatballs and spaghetti and they created it even though not on the menu. Also added Italian sausage . SO GOOD! Great service. Great wine too. I will return!!

I've written 109 restaurant reviews on trip advisor and have to publicly state our experience at Irene's was the best service we've ever had at a restaurant. We had our in-laws in town and were at Irene's to celebrate our 6th anniversary. It was also...More

Many trips to New Orleans and finally tried Irene's. Would not return. Caesar salad was underdressed and tasteless. No anchovy and no detectable seasoning of any kind. Asparagus appetizer was better, but husband described it as "unremarkable". $48 rib eye special was cooked perfectly, was...More

This restaurant came highly recommended by some locals we encountered. The place is attractive in a classical sense and full of character. Sadly, it is crowded, dark and VERY noisy. We were jammed into a four seat table, more suitable for two, right beside the...More

French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty
Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port
of call for folks in search of a good time and a great
story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs

around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively
well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the

There is some on street parking but watch that you park legally or they'll tow you . There are paid parking lots and then you can walk a couple of blocks to the restaurant.

Call at least a week in advance, the fact that you are flexible with dates will help.

You should be able to make reservations over the phone. Mardi Gras may have affected the hours they are open.
