Small coffee cafe but worth your walk to get genuine personally-produced coffees and croissants. Bar stool seating only but situated right beside the crafting of your best bet for beans in The French Quarter.

If you're a coffee snob you probably hunt on here and other sites for the local coffee spots and that's exactly how I found spitfire. Then met up with a local friend who agreed it was great and we decided to swing by on her way to ferry. Great coffee, walk in walk out, no seating so not a place... More

The people that work there have zero personality. It's like talking to a wall. Not friendly at all. The coffee is good though. Here's an example: Someone orders something with Hellfire Bitters. I've never heard of them so I comment just that and they make no attempt to engage. I've been here a few times and each time it's the... More

Great little coffee shop! I came here two times and tried both a pour over and a latte. The latte was absolutely amazing and perfectly made. The pour over was perfect as well. I really loved how they had a nice selection of coffee from all different roasters. This is a must stop for any trip to NOLA.

Stumbled on this place when I googled nearby coffee places. What a find this was. They are definitely a specialty coffee shop. Their coffee is spectacular. I actually went back several days. They offer a mocha which they add dark chocolate. I met the young man that owns it. He was nice enough to actually recommend vegan options in the... More

Cinnamon plum herbal tea is to die for!!! Stopped in for coffee, but saw their tea menu and went for that instead. No regrets! 😍

We hunted for a good coffee and found Spitfire. This is a tiny shop making seriously good coffee. The care and attention that went into every cup was obvious. They were weighing the grounds, timing the water to get every cup just right. This was espresso as it's meant to be.

Even though it was humid in New Orleans, I was wanting a good cup of coffee. Our tour guide said Spitfire had the best coffee in New Orleans, so I had to try it. It is rather small, and drinks are all they sell- no frou frou snacks, etc.. It was crowded, but the coffee was worth the wait. My... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
