Plenty to chose from and great portion size too, the atmosphere in the market was also worth the trip

Shrimp pasta dish was great. Husband had some sort of sampler with jambalaya, and a couple other NOLA staples. He really enjoyed it.

Ate here for lunch on a hot day in the market. I ordered the shrimp tacos and once I got them, they were delicious. The problem, I was hungry, it was hot and they seemed in no hurry to make them. I looked around but it wasn't because they were making orders before me, it looked like the kitchen staff... More

In an rush and came upon this place and saw they had a buffet breakfast and stopped by for a quick bite. Food was fine, service was very good and it seems it does get busy for lunch, given all the staff there by 10:00 a.m. Price was fine and it was quick, just like I wanted.

Cannot complain about the food here as it was very good! The servers were very good and friendly and informative initially! However once they realise that you are not ordering anything else attitudes change, the bill/check arrived on the table without us requesting it!

We just had breakfast here and it was good. We were served promptly and the breakfast options were a good selection. I had a spicy Cajun omelette that was quite good. Coffee was good and hot. Not much I can say except it was a good breakfast. The price was reasonable and the service was friendly and helpful.

Great snack local foods, pleasant fast service, and just good! Make sure you get there earlyb because they sell out of some stuff and that's too bad.

On your way to or from the French Market stop for a really good meal. They have jazz musicians playing at both ends. The Red Beans and Rice were wonderful.

We decided to make this our main meal of the day, late midday, in the French market and very nice and tasty they were. I had Gumbo and my wife had The Jambalaya, there is a short wait when ordering to the meal reaching you, BUT who cares in Nola, it's not call the Big Easy without reason. We waited... More

Food vendors line the french market like fast food restaurants in surburban America. So, the thought of eating at one didn't appeal to me until my wife wanted to try alligator bites. So, being hungry I begrudgingly ordered a bowl of Gumbo. I was the most flavorful gumbo I had in the whole town. So, I of course complimented the... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
