Grabbed some delivery from them for a Saturday night snack at our hotel. Squid teriyaki, salad, miso soup, two rolls and squid nigiri. Only thing of a dubious nature was the ginger salad dressing, which was in orange clumps. Everything else was good for being delivered and they had it to us in 45 minutes and were on time. Have... The salad dressing is AMAZING and I would come here just for that. But our tempura was just okay - seems to be Americanized and not really authentic Japanese. The atmosphere leaves much to be desired. TV, rock music, didn't feel like a Japanese restaurant.

We were literally the only customers the entire time we were in the restaurant. The sushi was decent - nothing to write home about or complain about, except that my wife's roll, which did say it was spicy on the menu, was so hot she couldn't even put the second bite in her mouth. When we told the waitress that... More

Tired of fried food, gumbos, jambalayas... we found refuge at this small japanese restaurant. Excellent, swift service (Tiffany being our server): excellent two seared tuna salads (some grenery, finally!!!). We love the French Quarter... and so we plan to most certainly return to this nice restaurant on Decatur (very close to Canal).

Used to go here years ago when it was (originally) located a little further down Decatur Street and much smaller. What got me then (and still) was the BBQ eel sashimi. One thing about this place, having patronized it many times over the years is that it is consistent. This particular evening (Baby's birthday) found us showing up around 7pm.... More

Non pretentious atmosphere with really good sushi and a pretty decent saki selection. Every time I'm in NOLA my first dinner is here. More than reasonable prices. Server is always polite and sitting at the sushi bar means my hubby has someone to talk basketball with!

This is a nice, small restaurant on Decatur Street that has really fresh sashimi and sushi. If you need a break from all of the Creole food in New Orleans, but still want fish, this is the place.

Ate here on a Wednesday night of a business trip. Service was friendly, but SLOW. There was only one other table with guests and the employees were more interested in their cell phones and chatting. We regularly had to motion to them for service, drink refills, and the check. The sushi rolls were smaller than what I am used to... More

We were leaving an old bookstore when all of a sudden a cold front blew in & blew us across the street into the doors of the best little Japanese restaurant on Decatur Street in New Orleans, Sekisui Samurai. Don't get me wrong, we ate some great traditional New Orleans cuisine while we were there but thought , why not... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
