Steaks are cooked Cajun or Pittsburgh style. 1700 degrees F. We ordered the Seafood platter and the 12oz Ribeye. Both were fantastic. Two lobster tails, one broiled, the other seasoned and baked. Stone Crab and the largest Jumbo Tiger Shrimps I've ever seen. The Steak was cooked to perfection with the greatest flavour of char on the outside. A great... More

setting, service, food and beverages were all of a caliber I rarely experience. everything was terrific. our waiter, "John R", was patient, thorough, respectful without being annoying about it and very helpful in choosing items from the overwhelming menu. this was a very busy place with lots of folks coming and going but we never felt rushed. bottom line: a... We started off with the seafood platter for 3, which could have been a meal in it's self. It had the best crab bisque I have ever had! The filet and potato were excellent too. And so was the service. I will definitely visit the next time I'm in New Orleans.

What else can I say. We visit Nola regularly. Always seeking out that super secret place that meets all expectations. Believe me. We have spent way more on great meals in Nola over the years. Chophouse is my now my go to perfect place going forward. I will ride this as long as the menu service cleanliness etc. continue. The... More

Perfectly cooked rib eye. Very nice sides which are extra. Attentive but not too pushy service. They must learn how to create an authentic Irish coffee though, it was terrible.

We came to NO for an adult mini-vaca. It was also my husband's birthday. I made reservations about a month in advance. When we arrived there was no problem with the staff finding our reservations. I was concerned being that reservations were made so far in advance. We were immediately seated. The server was very knowledgeable. However, from the minute... More

Great place for a steak. I had the 22 ounce bone in ribeye, and my wife had the Delmonico ribeye. The steaks were very good. If you want a nice pink center, you better order your steak medium well. There was only one drawback. The live music was so loud that we almost had to yell at each other to... More

Outstanding!! This is a must dine place! Very upscale. The service is impeccable. As for the food, it is out of this world! I suggest the shrimp cocktail with the remoulade sauce to begin with and the Delmanico medium rare with the creamed spinach! Perfection.

On a last minute overnight trip to NOLA, my husband and I wanted to enjoy a great meal. Our daughter highly recommended Chophouse. We called late afternoon for a 8pm reservation but none were available. The hostess encouraged us to come in at 8, have a drink at the bar & she assured me that we would be seated in... More

Better steaks than any of the major chains at a better price point. If you are looking for a steak dinner while in NOLA this is your place.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
