We go here every time we are in New Orleans and it is consistently excellent. I always get the filet and it is prepared as requested. Their onion rings and other side dishes are very, very good. If you want a superior steak dinner, this is the place to go. They have a pianist in the lounge/bar area, so it's... More

There were 10 of us. We sat at the piano bar waiting for our reservation and the young lady playing was amazing, and she kept us entertained and took requests. Once we were seated the service was right on, and the steak was amazing. The potatoes were the largest I ever saw, and absolutely everything for each one of us... More

I enjoy having dinner here every time we are in town. Food consistently wonderful as well as the service. I did feel a little rushed this last visit....but not so much that it was a problem.

I eat at many nice restaurants and have great steak often. But this is among my top 5 ever anywhere. It's the best steak in New Orleans. Also the fish is very good too!

Crab Bisque Soup (USD9) : Creamy & superbly executed with small chunks of crab meat served on a super hot soup 8 inch bowl and complimentary warm roll of bread. The salted butter was tasty and goes really well with the soup. You'll love it if you are feeling a creamy bowl of something (especially in this cooling & rainy... More

We got the place just by chance. Not reservation but the hosts anticipate 30 min waiting. We went to the bar for drinks and before 20 min we were seated. Nice cozy atmosphere and...the food! The new york style thick cut sizzling bacon and the lobster bisquet as appetizers were amaizing tasting. We just shared a Filet Mignon that was... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
