You must try the fried chicken. That's what they are famous for. They cook it from scratch, but it's worth the wait.

I've had good fried chicken in several places, but I've never had better fried chicken than this hole in the wall restaurant near the French Market in New Orleans. You may have to search a bit to find them (head towards the end of the block, near the Mint), but trust me, it's worth it. Fiorella's fried chicken will forever... More

Fiorella's Cafe on Decatur is overwhelmingly awful. It's in a terrible space, the service is poor, and the food not only tastes bad but is fraudulent -- as what is advertised on the menu is not what you receive. What they call "shrimp etouffee" is anything but. Instead its shrimp covered with horrible-tasting canned spaghetti sauce. It was so bad... More

Believe it or not, some of the best fried chicken around. You may have to wait awhile for it, but definitely worth the wait!

So this restaurant came recommended by a lot of people... We went and maybe they were having a off night?? The food was ok. The staff was really nice!

All 3 of our meals were very tasty, although one of them came very late to the table because of a kitchen mix up. The waiter was great and helped us out on the bill. The woman's bathroom is in great need of repair. The toilet was fine and clean, but the sink is falling off the wall and the... More

I stumbled on this place on another site. But the food ambiance was amazing. The hours very depending on how busy it is. The fried chicken is award winning. Grilled shrimp fettuccine, and the eggplant crisp where also fabulous. It's right behind the French quarter market, so parking is hit or miss. But there's nothing like walking a little to... More

Wandering around the streets of Nola, we stumbled upon this small cafe. We looked at the menu and thought about looking to see what else was around, when a couple sitting at the outside tables said they have best fried chicken and macaroni and cheese. They said they always come here when they are visiting the city. So we decided... More

If you want a "down to earth" place with a real local flavor in Decatur, definitely go to Fiorella´s. The fried chicken, the bread pudding, the local draft beer and the pecan pie cannot be missed. Our kids wanted to have authentic Southern fried chicken and this place was the answer.

Not a fancy restaurant but sure has a fantastic, crispy, tasty fried chicken! Very friendly service, fair price!

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
