The first time we came here it was good. Staff were friendly and attentive. We went back this spring and it was under different management or something...The food was bad and the service even worse. Seriously sketchy people working that day. I think we will...More

What a place, a complete NOLA experience! Totally entertaining, the guys working in the place have you smiling from the moment you step in the door. Very good food, good prices. Definitely visit.

My wife found this diner after seeing that it is on the list of one of Harry Connick Jr's best places to eat in New Orleans. The food is prepared by a great staff who knows how to make great food! It is not a...More

Ate lunch here today. Now known as "The Grill," this place serves good food at a good price. Given that it's located in the heart of a tourist mecca, I was amazed at how indifferent the wait staff was to the customers. Perhaps "indifferent" was...More

Great spot for drunk/hangover/late night food. Sandwiches or breakfast dishes are served all hours of the day. Lots of locals, but beware of going too late at night if you don't want to be around drunk people! (Although this doesn't bother us, and it's good...More

The place was kind of hard to find because they just recently changed the name. We called and found the place right away. The wait was not long. The servers were funny and made several comments out loud that made the entire place laugh. Overall...More

From the hype about this place I was expecting extraordinary food. Not fancy just down home good food. It wasn't bad at all but our waiter, and all the staff for that matter seemed to have an "I could care less" attitude. Our waiter said...More

Peanut was a fantastic host to us while we ate at The Grill! We weren't there that long--things move fast in there! But the food was good, the coffee was strong and hot and we would return again. I had a waffle, grits and bacon...More

The service was excellent. The food was very good. The hand patty burger was great. We were looking for "Camellia Grill" signs, but only saw "The Grill". As we were standing outside debating, if we where at the correct spot, a local told us the...More

French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty
Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port
of call for folks in search of a good time and a great

Yes.... When you order you may ask them to minimize the spice/heat level. They adorn the drink with hot peppers. The Bloody Mary's are delicious.

If you have issues with gluten I'd avoid any bread product there regardless of any claim to be gluten free. This is old school diner food. Based on my experience there I don't think special orders are taken seriously. They... More
