This place is fantastic. Relaxed vibe but still a very lively scene. Great options for food and wine. We had a little rain, which brought upstairs for a little bit. We didn’t even know that existed. It’s beautiful and comfy up there. This is a...More

Ever since we decided to visit New Orleans over Martin Luther King Day Weekend, a visit to Bacchanal was put at the top of our list. Our original plan was to visit on Sunday afternoon but we decided to experience Saints playoff football at a...More

I loved this place. We bought a couple bottles of wine and sat outside. We were plenty warm with the outdoor heaters. The live music was excellent and I loved the vibe of the light strings. We didn't eat here but I wish we had....More

This was our first trip to the Bacchanal but it won’t be our last. I expected to hear great music and taste some good wine , but the food was way above my expectations. We loved getting to select a bottle of wine from the...More

Went to Bacchanal on the recommendation of our inn keepers; It is supposed to have a lovely outdoor courtyard, but we went because it sounded warm and cozy on a cold night in Nola. You just need to understand the system. We went right upstairs...More

Stopped in an a sunny but chilly Saturday afternoon in December. We picked out a nice bottle of Camplazens Syrah, ordered some food and wandered out to the back yard to check out the music. There were radiant heat lamps for the customers but sadly...More

A lively atmosphere which can appeal to all ages. Buy your wine downstairs, then take it upstairs or outside to listen to music/sit and eat. Nice selection of lighter fare to satisfy the palate.

Just ignore the too-cool people and let the beautiful, live music and natural surroundings take over. This place is perfect for those that love a laid back evening with friends or a lover. The service is also outstanding. We selected our own bottles of wine...More

We had no idea this place existed until recently. When you walk in, you select a wine, grab some glasses, and head towards the back to find a table. There is usually a live band on the back patio. If the weather is cool, they...More

Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward,
the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely
residential. Of course, folks around here love to go
out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere
in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the
festivities, well then so much the better! Home to
some of the most revered live music venues in New
Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining

No reservations, but it's worth the wait! My recommendation is to go early. We were there at 6pm on a Saturday and found a table fairly quickly. Was great to see it in the daylight and at dark.
