Not our first visit, this is a karaoke bar. The employees really work the crowd and keep an upbeat tempo. They have a nice upstairs area to either sit inside or go to their balcony (free of charge) to check out a birds eye view of Bourbon. They do have a limited number of songs to choose from but they... The hurricane's are soooooo yummy, the staff is incredibly kind and fun, and the bar patrons are some of the best people to party with. Doesn't matter if you walk in not knowing a soul, by the time you leave, you will have made at least 6 new friends. Thank you Cat's Meow for always showing me a fantastic time!

Great karaoke with live streaming. We went out in the courtyard and watched our friends sing on TV. Great prices on drinks.

The place is cool. Spent several hours there with friends the night before Sugar Bowl and we all enjoyed it. Karaoke going on all night and some of it is actually good. We did joke that if they turned the lights on most people would leave. Not a clean place, but what place on Bourbon street is, right? Drinks were... More

Had a great time at this bar. It was fun watching the people try their hand at karaoke. It wasn't crowded, but still managed to keep the crowd into it.

If you love a karaoke bar this one doesn't disappoint! The entertainment staff were brilliant getting the crowd going and breaking up the cats choir performances. Great memories of a really fun night!

Traditional bad karaoke bar! Super fun tho. It can get crowded. Fun time but not missing anything if you pass by.

I go to the Cats Meow multiple times every time I visit New Orleans. I'm a karaoke addict, and I have yet to find a better place to do it. The crowd is big and really into every singer (good or bad), the MCs know how to keep the party moving, and prices are reasonable. I have yet to ever... More

Must stop and hang out here on your trip! Live karaoke, balcony you can watch from and an outdoor balcony to toss beads. Great bar and good vibe!

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
