Ate dinner here recently with my wife on a Wednesday evening. At 6pm, the place was basically full, so reservation needed. Ambience nice but rather loud. We ate two appetizers, the octopus carpaccio, which was light and had a very nice flavor, and the fried kale salad, which was crispy and delicious and very filling. For mains, we ate a... More

We went to this restaurant as it is located in the hotel we were staying, The Roosevelt. The food was good and the service was appalling. The restaurant is very loud. My husband asked if they carried draft beers, the waitress responded, and due to the volume I could not hear her. I asked did they carry draft beer and... More

Domenica is a spartan appearing, plain wood tables kind of restaurant, but is highly rated, even for New Orleans, for the imaginative menu and tasty food. I was concerned by a recent critical review stating that service had slipped. I had roasted baby beets, on field greens with chopped hazelnuts in olive oil, and a sprinkle of mildly cajun vinaigrette-excellent.... More

The lasagna is delish. I have also enjoyed the happy hour pizzas. They are a great deal for an early dinner or late lunch.

My family and I dined there to celebrate a birthday and we had such a wonderful dinner. We had eaten there before and always had good experiences, but this was over-the-top excellent! Our only complaint the whole meal is that the table was too small for all the food! All of it, from the appetizers to the main course to... More

Great place to meet friends for lunch. The Fried Tuscan Kale should not be missed. Share it with your friends. 3 of us split it and it was a perfect way to start off.

This is probably the 4th time we've dined at this favorite but we were thoroughly unimpressed tonight. 10 minutes from our seating before anyone came by. Waiter was completely lackluster as was the food to follow. Zero personality and care for his guests. What used to be pillowy pizza was flat, a beet salad plated with as much care as... More

We were celebrating my brothers engagement. The restaurant was helpful in accomodating a large group. We shared the mushroom rissotto, arancini and porchetta. All were great but I will dream about the porchetta which was crisp and flavorful. The lasagna was a popular choice. I liked my short ribs but my husbands pork chop was amazing. The cocktails were unique... More

My wife and I had a great meal here. The restaurant is beautiful. Service was excellent. The wine list is pretty reasonable. For starters, they are known for their roasted cauliflower and for good reason. It is HUGE so don't even try to eat one yourself; it probably can satisfy four. The dipping sauce was awesome. We both had pasta... More

Had thanksgiving reservations. Heirloom turkey was simply the best I'd ever had. Tried the lasagna -- also amazing. Also sampled their amazing short ribs. Appetizers and desert were fantastic as well. Tried to make reservations several nights later, but only a few random times were remaining. The entire staff did a wonderful job as well. Highly recommend this place!!!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
