The name is Italian but that's about it. If you wanna go there, just go for the pizza: it honestly looks nice. But the pasta is awful: small portion (given the quality, that's probably for the best), overpriced, and doesn't taste good at all. The service is ok, but the politeness seems more fake than genuine love for what they... More

The food is delicious! I got a pizza Tutto carne and Wine! I was here around 3pm so I got the Happy Hour time, half price for pizzas and wines! The decoration is amazing and staff really friendly! In the final I received a little piece of chocolate! Highly recommended!!!

We had a room in their private lounge, in the heart of the kitchen. There was 20 of us and i am not sure if it could of held more. We had our waitress choose which of the appetizers she recommended and it didn't disappoint. The food was so good and the experience of being near the kitchen just added... More

This was the third time we have been here. It is a great Italian restaurant with good authentic pizza with fresh toppings. Great staff. Also try the chef meet and cheese platter

We had dinner at Domenica while in town on a girls' trip, as it was convenient to our hotel and we were able to get a reservation on a rainy night. We were seated quickly and our waitress seemed attentive, but it took almost an hour for our food to arrive. Our waitress did apologize and ask if she could... More

We were in NOLA for the Sugar Bowl and when we got back to the hotel after the game we were starving so we stopped into Domenica's for their pizza. It was the perfect late night meal/snack that really hit the spot.

We ate here before seeing a play and everything was delicious. We had the roasted cauliflower with goat cheese, mozzarella cheese with crustini's, beets salad, and Kale to start things off. For lunch I had the snapper and it was really good. We didn't get the pizza but it looked fabulous. I will definitely be back.

We had great dinner there, Pizzas are special and delicious, good to have a reservation first, or one may need to wait for long

Cut-rate drinks, bar snacks, like pizza, charcuterie and small plates, and a nice wine list make it enjoyable. Don't et me wrong--Domenica is a great place to have dinner and enjoy great Italian dishes ( the rabbit is particularly good IMHO), but the restaurant bar is an experience in itself. And you can stop at the Sazerac down the hall... More

Description
Domenica is a contemporary and inviting Italian restaurant that creates regional Italian dishes with southern and middle eastern influences. The cuisine combines Chef Alon Shaya's Israeli heritage and love of local ingredients with a menu that reflects his time spent cooking and living in the small towns of northern Italy.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
