This iconic place is a must see. The coffee and beignets are great and affordable. The service time is fast so you don't need to waste a lot of time there.

Stopped into have a couple Beignets after having lunch. They were very good! You get 3 Beignets for just under $3.00. It is definitely a unique experience! We walked in and sat down, the servers sat to the side and waited for you to sit in their section. The Beignets were loaded with powder sugar which made them even better!... More

Everyone told me this is the most important thing to get beignets. I didnt find anything special about them. I will say they were a great price. Cafe Au Leit was horrible too.

What a great place to dine for coffee an french donuts. Very tasty but a little messy eating because of the confectioners sugar on top. The coffee comes out piping hot an is wonderful. A must stop while visiting.

It was a cultural experience. The biegnets and coffee wad very tasty and fun. Unfortunately even though we were served quickly and the food was good the service was without a smile.

Good beignets but its busy and i feel you can get good beignets anywhere in New Orleans. Its very touristy, if its not busy def go in but if its too busy don't wait just move on to the next place. You'll find beignets!

If you go, try early in the morning as otherwise, there always seems to be lineups. The beignets are excellent - about three days' worth of sugar-filled calories! Coffee is also good. In the evening, we had the pleasure of hearing excellent musicians alongside the outdoor terrace.

Heard so much about Cafe Du Mode and their coffee and Beignets. Had lots, lots of powered sugar. It tastes to me like the fried canned biscuits we did as a kid. Sometimes we shook them in powered sugar, sometimes granulated sugar. But not something I want to pay money for when I can make it at home.

I want those little puffed pastries, the ones I dream about, in my mouth by the dozen. My favorite color is powdered sugar white, and you will find it all over your face and the floor if you are doing it right. Coffee is good too!

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
