Wide selection of pralines and fudge and chocolates. This location is worth the time and effort. Easy to location. Two door entry. Very cool.

Great candy maker and retail shop. Offers about about anything you've ever seen or tasted. Especially ... homemade melt in your mouth Pralines ... fantastic, we went back a second time and bought more!!

Great selection and service. A little expensive but it was fun to stop in. The pralines were a little too sweet for us, but the toasted pecans were to die for - I would suggest getting the candied pecans.

After trying out the competition , Southern Candymakers has the best pralines we have tried in New Orleans. For 3 days now I have bought some for my coworkers and we have eaten them all. This stuff is good !!

Okay, here it is, the two guys behind the counter were incredibly entertaining. We almost went back a second time just to see them. Oh yeah, the candy was pretty good, too.

We have sampled many pralines during our visits to New Orleans, and these are still the best. We brought home a King Cake as well, and it was very tasty.

It’s PRAH-leen not PRAY-leen and this shop is where they make them the best. Lots of flavors to choose from (chocolate, peanut butter, pecan, coconut, lemon cream??) but the original is always best. I admit to going mostly for the tortues. They are like northern...“turtle” candy but made superior by the softest caramel and freshest nuts. You must try. And I THINK i recall the gal saying that you can have a taste of just about anything before you decide to buy it. But don’t go killing the golden goose and trying everything in the shop. They will shrink wrap your purchases in plastic if you’re flying.More

Quite a few flavors of pralines, freshly made. They even had a lemon one. The aroma coming out of the open door lures you in. Watch them whipping up a batch. Try a sample. Lots of other chocolate candies and fudge too. They will even...shrink wrap your purchase so that it makes it home.More

Bought a lb to bring home to Los Angeles and would like to order but can’t get anyone to confirm that my online order will be guaranteed that each candy will have at least 3 pecans. I’m paying by the pound so don’t understand why...that’s hard to do, or at the least the courtesy of a response from southern candymakers...?More

This candy was mentioned in a guide book. Picked some up as gifts and had to go back because we ate it all! Staff is friendly and helpful and the candies delicious!

A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty
Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port
of call for folks in search of a good time and a great

around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively
well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the
