Every time we go to NOLA we visit the Creamery. Awesome, awesome homemade ice cream. You can't go wrong with any of the flavors.

I love the originality of their flavors - Summer Fig, Pear, Creole Cream Cheese, & many more. Love the flights - getting several small scoops to try. My husband loves the more traditional flavors in their scrumptious sundaes. So many choices, all of them delicious.

This ice cream has been rated the best in Louisiana, and they aren't kidding. Delicious classic flavored and creative originals to die for. Try a few samples before choosing. I can never get just one scoop. All the shops and restaurants in Prytania St. are really cute, and Creole Creamery is the best of them. Calories don't count when they... More

The ice cream is handmade at the Creamery. The creative blends of flavors are wonderful. Our favorite thing to order is the Strawberry Creole..it is a couple of scoops of creole cream cheese ice cream topped with fresh sliced strawberries. Other flavors are the Steens syrup oatmeal cookie, nectar sorbet, red velvet, lavender honey and German chocolate cake. Hungry for... More

My husband and I got Cookie Monster shakes, and they gave us all of the leftovers from the mixer. A great end to a day at the zoo!

The ice cream was good, they had a lot of flavors. It was very busy and we had no time to make interesting selections. The staff was not friendly nor provided guidance. It is great for kids and clean and in a great neighborhood. I wonder if it is intended for locals only.

So many choices, so delicious. The line at Creole Creamery is well worth the wait. The staff are cheerful and the ice cream is second to none. Yum!

Staying in Uptown / Carrollton

Neighbourhood Profile
Uptown / Carrollton
Very much their own self sufficient unit within the greater metro area, Uptown and Carrollton tone down the urban edge with a friendly attitude and collegiate feel. Home to Tulane and Loyola Universities, all the students living in the area ensure that Uptown and Carrollton stay youthful, cosmopolitan and vibrantly fun. Two of the liveliest thoroughfares for nightlife and socializing (and yes of course more of the city’s outstandingly good food and live music) are Oak Street and Maple Street. For a truly wild time, the expansive acreage of Audubon Park, with its zoo, golf course, and actual patches of swampy wetlands, means peace and quiet are never too far away.
