I arrived unannounced at the front gate and was welcomed in by Jack and Karen and given a bed in their house for the night. A wonderful experience from the amazing location to Karen’s wonderful food and Jack’s delightful stories. I hope to be back...one day!More

Jack and Karen are consummate hosts and Karen’s food is one of the best meals you will ever eat!! I am not kidding, you HAVE to make a visit to Tree Tops!! Not only is the food amazing but Jack and Karen helped us arrange...other outings we were interested in and spent ample time with us to share what they recommended to do while in the area. Make a call well in advance to get your reservation as they only take one party a night. Did I say you MUST visit, is a game changer.More

Karen is an amazing chef. Her creative combinations are exquisitely delicious. Unlike some combos you've tasted that seem to be all about the novelty, Karen's menu is all about the flavors and foods of Costa Rica. We enjoyed these "taste sensations" during a five course...dinner: heart of palm soup with truffle oil and dark chocolate, followed by a green salad topped with watermelon, toasted nuts and vanilla balsamic dressing. I highly recommend dining at Treetops. Make a reservation at least 24 hours in advance.More

I recently had a dinner here on a family vacation. We were a large group of 12 so the restaurant was closed to outside groups which made it feel very intimate and fancy. Karen prepared a delicious 5 course menu and even modified the meal...for the kids in our group. Every single course was delicious and prepared beautifully. It's definitely pricey so it's not the kind of place you can eat at every day. I would highly recommend Treetops for a special occasion dinner. Only suggestion for Treetops would be to accept credit card or Venmo to make it easier when paying such a large bill.More

This place sits on a platform up in a tree on a cliff overlooking a cove in the Pacific Ocean. Stunning views. Had three course lunch, which was very good. Owners are the chef and waiters. After lunch trekked down to the secluded cove and...snorkeled. Great afternoon. Bring cash cause it's all they take.More

Me and my wife staying at the aera and Saturday night we decide to go to eat there ! We arrive around 8pm ( very bad road bumpy and very tight ) gate was close and the sign say to ring the bell so i...did for 15 min or so and nobody show up ! I decide to open the wood gate myself only to make fast U turn and go back to our hotel , road was very tight and dark and i was worried to back up ! Right away after i open the gate older guy came shouting and Swearing in words i cant write here . I ask him very polite if restrunet is open he kept Swearing that restrunet close in sundays (its was Saturday night) so i ask to make u turn he kept Swearing and said only think i can do is to back up so i did . We drive back to hour hotel and locals told us storys about pooling shotgun on some local i feel lucky we didnt stay and never will go back .More

The accodations at the Tree Tops were good for a bed and breakfast. However, the food and service was by far, the best EVER! The view from the restaurant overlooking the bay and Pacific Ocean was breathtaking. Karen has the help of husband Jack Hunter...and you cannot find a more friendly couple to look after your needs. Karen's Five Star dinners were a combination of tastes and presentations that cannot be beat. What a great three days we had!More
