My husband and I had visited Tallgrass years ago. Then, the plates were small and high-quality French cuisine. Maybe we've been to enough fine restaurants since then that we've become spoiled. In any case, we were both disappointed tonight. We both ordered four courses which was a good decision. There was so much food by the end. I started with... More
The service was perfect in every way. Chef Bob was wonderful. The wine was outstanding, dessert was amazing especially the dark Belgian chocolate souffle.
This was our first time dining here and definitely will not be our last. From now on, Tallgrass will be our go to when we want a delicious, fine dining evening. The portions were larger than we expected and so many of the dishes we selected were so good. I am still thinking about the lobster lasagna with that amazing... More
Driving to southwest suburban Lockport to have dinner at Tallgrass is like dining at the Inn at Little Washington in tiny Washington, Virginia, which is 70 miles west of Washington, D.C. It's a long way to go for a meal but it's worth every dollar to be entertained at a 4-star restaurant. Tallgrass is one of the top 10 restaurants... More
We love it! We have been to Tallgrass at least 20 times and every time it is the best meal ever. The flavors are incredible, no matter what you order. We prefer seafood so we order seafood for every course.
A gem in an unexpected locale ( southwest suburbs!) . Enter through a basement door then led into the intimate dining room. Offered a cocktail from their retro bar area. Delightful and delicious dinner choices . Tallgrass was gracious to accommodate a friend's gluten intolerance. Waitstaff was friendly and attentive. Leave room for dessert.
Top notch, once in a lifetime for me.. just visited the area because we had moved out of state and lived in town for 11 years and never ate here.. I can say it was honestly well worth it. Food and services are unbelievable here. Top dollar also,so make sure it's in your budget!
This is one of the best restaurants in the Chicago land area. Reservations are required. The food is always fresh as the chef shops for the folks that have made reservations and then it's prepared that day. Never had a bad meal there. Love it.
