My dining experience began with a warm greeting and immediate seating from the hostess. once seated i was able to take a moment to appreciate the decor and ambiance. NICELY DONE Wait staff was prompt, friendly and attentive. Food was EXCELLENT and plated beautifully. Extensive beverage selection offering specialty drafts, irish whiskeys and array of wines and cocktails. Thank you... More

I will start out by saying our waiter was great. My husband and I have gone to the Brocach many times through the years. What did they do to the welcoming facade, warm, dark and inviting interior? Before it was like you where in Ireland, eating and drinking in an Irish pub. We would come and sit at the bar... More

This place has really gone downhill. This used to be one of my favorite places in grad school. Unfortunately, both the food and the service have dropped off significantly. First, our group of 8 people were seated at a table that did not seat more than 6 comfortably. We had to ask to move. I asked for a beer, and... More

We have visited Brocach many times over the years, and were looking forward to our visit since recent renovations. We were warmly greeted by the staff and the service was excellent. The drinks were delicious, but pricey. The food was just average. The cool Irish atmosphere is gone, and the place now feels generic and sterile. All in all, it... More

I had last been to this place a few years ago and absolutely loved it then! Went tonight for dinner with some friends and it's been redecorated with an urban industrial theme which doesn't at all fit an Irish pub. It's nice, but has definitely lost it's charm. It still has what you would expect for food; Shepard's pie, fish... More

My bride and I stopped here for a Saturday lunch! We almost walked by because it did not look open! This Brocach had been completely remodeled and has a different menu from the previous version! It's touted as an Irish pub and whiskey den! To us it was more reminiscent of a gastropub with clean urban decor! The Brocach on... More

Brocach brings a little bit of Ireland to the Midwest. This place has a great selection of Irish whiskeys along with the traditional bar libations. Not much was happening here the night we came in but the bartender was friendly and welcoming.

This place is right out of Dublin. The beer list is very good. The food is way better than you would expect in an Irish pub. The banners and mash and the colcannon are especially good. The service had always been friendly and excellent. Live traditional music several nights a week makes the place near perfect.

Brocach (pronounced BROH-kah) has really good shepherd's pie. This location makes it slightly different than the location on Monroe ST so ask what kind of beef/how it's prepared before you order. It is heavily wooded and has a nice dark and peaceful atmosphere during the day.

Looking for a place for 8 people to eat in Madison on the Friday night before Ohio State Game. Everyplace had a three hour wait. Came here and we were able to sit upstairs and have a drink and were seated in a very cramped booth within. Half hour. Food came quickly but everything was just OK. Real problem wasn't... More
