While visiting in Madison, my wife and I took our family to the Coopers Tavern for lunch. My wife and I ordered the burger. Both burgers were cooked well to our specifications, and the bun was fantastic. The house chips were a great addition, cooked crispy and seasoned well. The other members of the family got the chicken sandwich and... More

I was taken here by an old friend for lunch. We sat towards the back. My friend had the French Onion Soup, which was a meal, salad bread everything. She throughly enjoyed it. I had a Orkney Skull Crusher Beer, from the Orkney Island off Scotland. It was so good I had a second! I had the Lamb Burger and... More

Very nice setting with excellent food and a very good drink menu. Our waitress was excellent; friendly and very helpful. My burger was very tasty and the fish fry was also very good. Ingredients appear to be of high quality. We were very pleased and will go again.

Best frites around! Great sandwiches and salads. The owner Peter, is always gracious and friendly. It can get a bit noisy, but its a lively fun place. The creme brulee is amazing and they sometimes offer seasonal flavors.

Great Irish pub / restaurant on the square in Madison. Extensive beer list is one of the best with local and international selection. Try the sconnie egg, poutine, and the burgers - you will not be disappointed. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We will return!

My wife and I visited hoping for a nice meal between loads of grad school work and a humorous evening at the RedTalk. Our server (Taylor?) was great, attentive for how busy it was, and empathetic when I sent my burger back due to the patches of mold on the bun. With time running out I passed up on his... More

My husband and I had our wedding reception here in the upstairs room. It is a rustic, trendy space with its own bar, which was a huge plus. The upstairs has its own bathrooms and a lift for handicapped accessibility. During the reception planning, there were a few snafus with communication - I think mostly because there were staff turnover.... More

We recently ate dinner here and were quite disappointed with the service and food. We dined outside because inside the restaurant is incredibly noisy. My wife had a Cesar Salad and there was NO dressing on the salad and I had a steak that was unreasonably tough - hard to cut with a provided steak knife. The service was also... More

What brought me to Cooper's was a gift certificate I'd "won" bidding in a fundraiser to help the homeless in Madison WI. Went there liking them for donating to the cause. I had two friends with me. The day was perfect to sit outside and enjoy our lunch. Our waitress was very pleasant, and had the menu items and specials... More
