We had a great experience at this restaurant...it was hard to find a good restaurant in Cortez. Our waitress was excellent...friendly and always checking with us to see how we were doing. I had the prime rib...tender and tasty. My husband had the steak and shrimp..two thumbs up !!!!!!

We arrived at J Fargo's at 8 o'clock on Friday night very hungry. I had the CBJ Burger and my husband had the steak burger. They were served on Kaiser rolls. The meat was cooked well done but I still thought the food was pretty good. I had the side salad and it was delicious and fresh. The french fries... More

We had the bacon cheese appetizer which was amazing, served with chips and veggies. We had the pulled pork sliders and the brisket all with the recommended South Carolina bbq sauce. All was delicious. We arrived during happy hour for buy one get one free drinks, and all but the brisket were $5. Definately would return if we were again... More

J Fargos has a wide range of options for entrees. I had the pulled pork tacos and they were the best I have had in town. A little kick but not over the top spicy. Genuinely nice staff add to the laid back family atmosphere. Full range of Bud products along with their own microbrews.

My husband and I would highly recommend this place! We love to try local eateries instead of chains and he loves to sample local beers. The waitress offered to bring him samples of his top two choices and he ended up ordering them both! She recommended the Santa Fe grilled chicken and he loved it. My grilled salmon was cooked... After a long day traveling, my husband and I were so ready for an easy and relaxing dinner. We were directed to J Fargos and weren't disappointed. We lucked out as that evening was a beer special. We enjoyed a dark bock; very good. I had two! For dinner, we split a Navajo taco and a Southwest salad. Perfect. While... More

We enjoyed our dinner here and the beer was pretty good. The atmosphere is okay, but all the advertisements in plastic holders were kind of weird - not sure if that is a permanent thing but it shouldn't be. The menu had one meatless option, a salad, and it was pretty good. My husband had the St. Patrick's day special... More

We hit happy hour at J. Fargo's and enjoyed two for one craft beers. The restaurant was recommended by our campground and we were not disappointed! As a vegetarian who is often faced with limited choices, their menu was a treat. While my husband enjoyed his chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts (I enjoyed them, too), I loved... More
