I visited here during a work trip with a colleague. I do not eat wheat, but I was able to easily find and order an appropriate meal from the menu. The food was not rushed out of the kitchen; however, it arrived quickly enough, and...More

I recently traveled through Cortez en route to Santa Fe. The Farm Bistro was recommended as a place for a quick snack. And rightly so!! I'm not sure anything reminds me more of the Southwest than green chile stew. Yum. Spicy. Thick. Flavorful potatoes. The...More

Visiting Cortez and went to the Farm Bistro on recommendation of the staff at our hotel. Wow, were we impressed! I had yak skirt steak which was delicious but the side dishes of roasted potatoes and mixed veggies almost overwhelmed the meat part of the...More

The Black Bean Burger was excellent, this is home made, seems made exactly when ordered, not hours before, things take a little longer here. The best veg burger we had in ages.

Been here for lunch several times, decided to try for dinner. Fries were great. The yak burgers we're pretty good as well. Service was a little slow. Think will keep it on the list for lunch, but not sure about dinner.

We’d been on the road for 3 days, every night in a different rural village in southern Utah. Food was hit or miss and light on vegetables and heavy on meat centric meals. We pulled into Cortez, CO and were told about this place among...More

We always stop here when in Cortez. Tasty locally sourced meals are well-prepared and fairly priced.

The food was acceptable, but the service was slow. There was confusion as to who would serve us, so the first time we saw a server was 20 mins after we arrived. We immediately ordered beer and our meal. We were asked if we wanted...More

A nice atmosphere. The service was friendly. There are plenty of gluten free options. Fresh food. I had the Morroccan Meatballs; Amazing! Also the Yac was local and delicious. Also, we ordered a rwlenno pie, which was nothing special. The martinis were wonderful, however.

We live in nearby Durango and often stop by for soup and salad or a sandwich when passing thru Cortez. Today we tried a burger with a salad. As usual the salad and dressing were delicious but the burger! Over cooked, dry and teeny. It...More

Hi, I'm Laurie, owner of The Farm Bistro. Fish is not on our regular menu, but we often serve Colorado striped bass as a dinner special.

Don't know the exact number, but many. You might want to check out their website menu. My wife did all of the legwork. The restaurant is known for its natural food selections.
