I have been staying at Meditasi Bungalows for the past week and I've tried almost everything on the menu at Smiling Buddha restaurant. All of the meals I've had have been delicious. The staff hand picks the vegetables right infront of you and you can taste the freshness in each dish. There are plenty of options for anyone who has... More

Smiling Buddha is a great ,hidden restaurant on the way to Amed, with cosy and friendly atmosphere, nice view and access to the beach. The food and drinks we had were a good taste and reasonable prices. You should try Banana and Tempe satay, it's soooo delicious and portions are very good size so sometimes I couldn't move after that... More

I've been eating in Smiling Buddha restaurant many times because I stayed in Meditasi bungalows for 1 week. It's a relaxing and quiet place with wonderful view on the sea! So it was just a gastronomic paradise! I never tasted something like this! They have so many choices, varieties of real Balinese food and a lot of vegetarian options. Some... More

The food is awesome and organic, all from the garden nearby. The staff is very friendly, the atmosphere is typical - good vibes, great view, spirit of happiness and peace :) I would also recommend to join the cooking class every day at 11am, where you can choose what you want to cook and they teach you, or the yoga... I first heard of the Smiling Buddha from some friends of mine who discovered the restaurant by chance on a trip to the Amed region of Bali one time and they raved about it and recommended I go as I was due to visit the area. My daughter and I were staying in a nearby fishing village and decided to... More

We drove our scooters from Candidasa to Amed and decided to take the coastal route. Along the way signs with 'Smiling Buddha Rest' started showing up like every km or so. As the ride was pretty intense we thought it would be a good idea to eat and rest there for a while. And I'm glad we did! Best Nasi... More

After I went snorkeling at the Japaneses shipwreck I went just 1.5 km to Smiling Buddha which is a beachfront restaurant that offers fresh, local, organic food. Some of the food you can see being freshly picked from the garden for your meal after you order it. There is both traditional Balinese food and international cuisine. They also offer a... More
