If you are in Kampot for even a day, do not miss out on Simon’s. First off, the service was amazing. We arrived at around 6p and wondered why such a well-reviewed restaurant was so empty. Then 7p rolled around and the place was packed. As we dined there, we realized why.
Upon seating you, they bring you three papadum crackers and three chutney sauces to accompany them. They were delicious and after a long day of exploring, we devoured them. Unlike our experience in other Indian restaurants, they quickly offered to bring us more papadum and we obliged. We also ordered some $1 draft beers which they served in beautifully frosted mugs each time. So refreshing!
For dinner, we ordered butter chicken curry, plain naan, and garlic and cheese naan. They offered rice, but we rarely order anything that you can’t eat on naan. The butter chicken was incredible, the plain naan delicious, but the garlic and cheese naan was out of this world. Even Alicia liked it and she doesn’t typically like naan with cheese on it. We liked it so much, we used the small amount of curry leftover to order another plate of garlic and cheese naan. We quickly scooped up the rest of the curry with it and had no qualms about eating what remained of the naan on its own.
In the end, we were sooo stuffed and our tab was a modest $17 for all of that food. Needless to say, we will definitely be back.

Great Indian food, had a very spicy curry, just a s I like it. portions were very good despite other reviews there was more than enough food. service was good, the beer was nice & cold, the food was very tasty and they ask how spicy you want it. I said "spicy" and it was perfect chicken curry for me. A very good meal, recommended.

Came here a couple of times: staff is very friendly and helpful. Prices are not any different from the majority of Indian restaurants in Cambodia but the food is more delicious than in others in Kampot. Only once had not very nice main dish. Desserts ore overpriced a bit.

We recently moved to Kampot and had the good fortune to have some take away from Simon’s. We had the Beef vindaloo and Rogan Josh which we’re both superb. Despite asking for a bit more spice on the Vindaloo my wife’s Rogan Josh was hotter spice wise. The Naan bread was also brilliant and I recommend getting some raita to cool the whole meal down. I highLy recommend Simon’s. The prices may lean more toward western pricing but it’s worth the cost.

I chose the chicken curry with rice. First of all they gave me a free popodom and the chicken curry had potatoes in, very spicy like a madras or vindaloo.
The rice was good as well. This might have been the best curry I have had in Cambodia.
I loved it and this will be my regular place for a curry, the service was excellent and friendly as well.

What the actual heck.
Did NOT expect to have the best Indian food of my life in Kampot. As an Australian, we have a huge Indian community and some of the best Indian food you’ll eat (sorry England) outside of India.
This place is absolutely fantastic.
I had no expectations going in, I went with friends from a hostel only to find out when seated that it came so highly recommended. So highly, that we bumped into other travellers that we’d met in Vietnam and Cambodia who had heard of it. I put the location on my Insta feed and was astounded my the amount of people I’d met in Asia who had the exact same experience there as I.
I’m vegetarian and chose the thali, as well as the samosas. Every craving I’ve had in 3 months of travelling was satisfied.
You watch the chef cook in the tandoor, you are promptly seated, served warmly and the food is literally second to none. I almost had an orgasm with the paneer dish.
Look, it’s not Vietnam cheap (cheap in comparison to Aus by far) so if you’re on a budget in Cambodia and you have one food splurge day - hell yeh pick this.

We have had dinner and lunch in this excellent restaurant, firstly a veg thali and secondly a masala dosa. Both meals were top quality and great value for money. As someone who has travelled extensively in India I can thoroughly recommend Simons for a great Indian meal.

Food from Simon’s is always amazing, full of flavor, tender chicken and piping hot. Last night for the first time I actually sat in and ate, the standard of service was just exceptional. Not the usual service I am used to here in kampot, was so nice to be taken care of and again everything was delicious. Can’t recommend enough!

I had food there once in person a couple months back, and thought it was great, but I have a question... when ordering a curry/dish on Nham24, does it come with rice included or not? I don't want to put in an order and find out there's no rice, nor do I want to order a serving of rice for each dish and then find out I have double the rice. And can you update your Nham24 listings to make this clear? Thank you! :)

I don't actually eat in the restaurant, so can't comment on anything other then the food, but for about 2 years have been (semi) regularly getting their food delivered to my home using Tuk Out. Last night I ordered the onion pakora and the chicken korma. I can honestly say it was the best Indian food I have ever had. I normally get the beef vindaloo which is also superb, but the chicken korma was just sublime! I have also tried the other 3 Indian food places here in kampot, most of them in Phnom Penh, have eaten Indian food in Australia for decades, Fiji - basically everywhere I've travelled to that has Indian restaurants. Simons is right up there with the best of them!

My Khmer friends traveling with me like Indian food and they spotted this place walking around Kampot. I never miss an opportunity to eat Indian so when they chose it I was delighted. They have indoor and outdoor seating. It was a little muggy so we went for the aircon. We shared two lamb curries, fish tikka, and a chicken dish. All dishes were excellent but the chicken was a little dry. Great flavors all around. We also had some garlic naan. Steamed rice was complimentary. Server was a friendly Bangladeshi. The owner was cooking and came out to check on our experience. Recommended.

I don’t do reviews too much and this place was a very pleasant surprise. We had the butte chicken, fish curry, and the paneer tikka massala with butter naan. What a treat! Well done and compliments to the chef. Great service and a very nice place to eat.

We went to this place on different occasions and always had fantastic food. Starting with papadums served with homemade chutneys that immediately raise the standard. Huge samosas with a complex filling (not just the usual mash of some veggies), The raita also delicately spiced. 8 pieces of tender chicken tikka from the tanddor. The vegetarian side was also delicious: dhal, aloo anything, vegetable curries cooked to perfection. The mango lassi was to die for. The masala chai perfectly spiced. Cant rate it high enough. Fast and attentive service. The only setback is the location with all the girliebars around it.

The food presentation is good, however, and rather not typical for an Indian/Bangladeshi restaurant, in each dish, even the Naan and the salted Lassi there is a lingering sweetness which is rather off-putting. The onion baji missed the mark entirely. Efficient and friendly service. Too expensive.
