Our first time here and we had great lunch of fish and chips; deep fried whitefish and herring from Lake Superior. There is much more to the menu also. Staff were great. Eating area is right on Lake Superior. Furniture is locally made and really...More

We had lunch here both days we were in Grand Marais. First day the salad with white fish and it was excellent. They make their own dressings which are wonderful and the salad had tons of nice veggies on it and a large piece of...More

Absolutely fantastic salads! I am particular about lettuce variety, freshness and cleanliness. This place always meets and exceeds my expectations. 4 homemade dressings on the table to choose from. Great presentation, fresh toppings and several protein options. Large salad, best around!

I always get salad with fish fillets, either herring or whitefish. Delicious! Busy place. If you don't want to wait, go on off hours. They don't take reservations.

We tried to have dinner here on a Monday night, but the lines were so long we gave up. We were able to enjoy a glass of wine sitting by the water, outside the restaurant. So if you want dinner, see if you can make...More

Pretty good food. Had the fried fish special and it was quite good. A little pricey for what it was, and it’s efforts to be kind of an alternative, hipstery kind of place are a bit much. That being said, I’d definitely go back and...More

The grilled whitefish dinner was so good. Presentation, taste, salad and service were outstanding. Love this restaurant. One of the best on the north shore.

There were 19 in our family group. Our waitress did really well taking care of us. Most of the adults had the herring fish and chips with varying results, one piece exceptional another kind of dry. I had the buffalo tenderloin, a meal I had...More

We celebrated my husband's 40th birthday here! It was definitely pricey, but a fun one- time experience! The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. The beverages left something to be desired-limited beers and homemade soda(which the kids did not like).
