We were coming back from Grand Portage and had wanted to eat at the lodge but it was 30 minutes to closing. We popped our heads in and they said they were still open and come on in! We had the best meal of our...More

We recently went for the Sunday brunch for our second time. It is expensive at $21 with coffee extra but for special occasions it is a treat. The homemade sausages and the thick cut bacon are the highlights for me. They offer quiche or scrambled...More

We arrived at the Naniboujou Lodge at around 11am, on our way up to Grand Portage. Lunch did not start until 11:30am, so we walked around the area. There is a large beach with benches and adirondack chairs. Once we walked back to the restaurant,...More

This is a lovely restaurant with delicious food. There was a serenity that made dining here a wonderful experience, one in which a person could actually hear the conversation at the table! Very relaxing and enjoyable!!

Not stayed in the hotel, but, I've eaten in the restaurant. I'd give it 2.5 stars. Not bad, not great. Menu is not terribly inspired. But, you are there for the full deal. History, environment, etc. In that sense, the experience does not disappoint

Stopped in to look at the dining room ceiling at the lodge. Very pretty and worth going in just to have a look.

It did not fit our day to eat dinner at the lodge. However, to just spend a half hour viewing the dining room, solarium and grounds was worth the time. The manager had no problem with us taking a short tour, even though we were...More

As a general rule, early is always better . . . and we do take reservations for parties of 5 or more (because we only have a few larger tables). For parties of 4 or less, IF there is a wait, it has not been significant... More
