Although we lived in Silver City for the better part of two years we only recently made it here for breakfast. The food was fine but unexceptional, but the big surprise (and yes, we should've read the fine print) was very ordinary drip coffee (advertised...More
At Vicki's we work hard to serve premium fresh food at affordable prices--including our coffee. Rather than serve a generic, out of the can ground coffee we serve a premium coffee from a small California Roaster, Espresso Roma. The medium European roast beans are roasted...More
Fresh-squeezed orange juice, a pile of fresh fruit on the plate and pleasant service. Interesting and attractive art on display. Nice music in the background.More
We are really glad you think our breakfasts are "great;" my husband and our manager are both from Indiana and they strive for a real hearty country. The biscuits and sausage gravy are especially good. I'm a Californian and put the fruit bowl and eggs...More
This was one of two restaurants recommended by the Visitor Centre so we went there for lunch. Our first impressions were not good as we were welcomed by being handed two menus and told 'sit where you like'. This was the longest conversation we had...More
You are correct that at Vicki's we offer an nice alternative to New Mexican food. Although many (but not all) of our breakfasts have a hearty mid-west feel, our lunches are certainly green and healthy. While our portions are always generous (American?), we do make...More
We ate here twice for lunch during our vacation in Silver City. We stayed at the Gila House across the street and they gave us vouchers to dine here. They have a great Greek sampler that I ate as my entree. Very yummy! Sandwiches and...More
Vicki's works extremely hard to provide great food, at reasonable prices; we are extra pleased that you found we met that mark. Thank you very, very much for saying so.
We enjoyed visiting this restaurant in an old lodge building. Great to see it repurposed. The service was friendly and helpful. Our lunch was excellent. We'd come back.More
Vicki's Eatery is in New Mexico's Very First Elk's Lodge--remade just a bit! Art on light red-washed walls in an other wise spacious, quiet dining room. We love the juxtaposition of old and new in the building and in our historic downtown location. And we...More
What a great find - we saw the owner's were the same as Yankee Creek coffee house - the same attention to detail and service. The Beef Barley soup had just the right spices & content. The server was helpful about the menu and the...More

My husband and I had a late-ish lunch here after exploring downtown Silver City. He had the special sandwich of the day with corned beef and I ordered the "Vicki" which was grilled roast beef with green chiles. Both of us agreed that the sandwiches...More

Wish they would expand their menu, but the food is very nice. The carrot cake the best anywhere. Nice place to escape for lunch off the beaten path.
We are glad you stopped in and found our place interesting. We hope you will visit us again soon; we will endeavor to keep you interested.
