The waiter could barely speak English and had no French, no bread was available, foul-tasting tap water was served in dirty jugs. This used to be a good bistro-type cafe but the owners appear to have deserted it.

Friendly staff. Nice breakfast spot. My wife and I had a relaxing breakfast outside enjoying Brooklyn on a sunny Saturday morning. I do need to add that I do live in Brooklyn.

Regularly have breakfast here when visiting friends in Brooklyn. The food is good. The baked goods can be amazing. The outside tables give a nice French café ambiance. We have been able to sit for 2 or 3 hours at a time without being hassled, so it's been a pleasant spot for socializing.

Nothing like having a glass of french rosé, seating outside a bistro, eating quiche and getting a bit of sun on your face. Head to Provence en boite, on Smith street, and enjoy simple French fare and delicious pastries, also available to take home...

I was hoping to see Provencal dishes in the brunch menu of the restaurant (salade nicoise, Mediterranean vegetables, etc.) but, apart from the decorum, there is not much from Provence in there... Dommage.

My friend and I were looking for a late lunch place on Smith Street and happened upon this French bistro. We ordered two different quiches and mushroom and onion soups. We also had coffees and dessert - a fruit tarte. The food was delicious, but the service was cloying and disruptive. Although the place was half empty, the waiter and... More

Cosy, good coffee and tartelette. But.... far too expencive. It's cheaper even at Camps Ellysees in Paris.

We had a light lunch and a drink on Labor Day. A multi-generation family restaurant and was the perfect spot for the two of us.

One of my favorite things about this restaurant is how they serve the cafe au lait in bowls, brings back memories of a trip to Quebec City! Portions are large and food is delicious. Wonderful choices for brunch, lunch or dinner, and dinner specials each evening. Service is good; this is a family owned restaurant. Delicious homemade pastries and croissants... More

There were three of us, plus newborn in a stroller, and the staff could not have been more welcoming. I thoroughly enjoyed my Eggs Benedict Royal, and the others thought their meals equally delicious - French toast with bacon, and quiche - followed by one of the tastiest almond croissants I've ever had, and the little chocolate almond tort was...
