Had heard of the reputation of this place, and took the long subway ride from mid-town Manhattan to get there. It's a very tiny place, and if one is expecting a high class establishment, he will be put off by the shabby appearance of the shop. Since we came for the pizza, and not for a "dining experience", we didn't... More

Got the metro down for 30 minutes from Manhattan. Arrived around 2.30pm. Place was packed. Ordered and got our pizza in about 10 minutes. Was fantastic and easily the best pizza I have ever eaten in my life. Place is old so what. The food is immense and is really tourist friendly so no idea what the last review was... More

Thin, microscopic, burned fragment for $5. Hardly any cheese, more olive oil than cheese, big burned black bubbles take up most of the space. Once in a while, Di Fara opens the oven, inspects the black burned bubbles on his razor thin pizza, and rotates it. Place is filthy, oven not cleaned in 50 years, blackened by grease, stinks to... After reading such great reviews of Di Fara pizza we took the Q train the 30 minute ride to this Brooklyn Pizza Parlor. We were the first customers at opening, besides an obvious family friend. For 10 minutes the "Iconic Dom" and what appeared to be his daughter would not make eye contact with us. We were finally granted the... More

We visited this place on our recent trip to NYC. One of my friends had been here before and wanted to go back. I'll be honest, I was a little concerned when we showed up and saw the outside of the restaurant, it looks old and a little run down. It's a tiny place with limited seats and no restroom.... More

Pizza was good but, being from NY I have very high standards for pizza. I heard it was the best in NY. After ordering and waiting an hour to get the pizza I had hoped to be thrilled. It was good did not blow my socks off. If you are not from NY it is probably better than anything you... More

I am convinced that Di Fara serves up the best pizza in New York. The man is getting way old now, but he's still single-handedly making the pizza, which is why there's occasionally a bottleneck when there are a lot of orders. But that's besides the point. The regular slice is delicious, and the square slice is out of this... More

It's a staple of Brooklyn. A must visit for a good slice or whole pizza pie! You feel like you're living in a 1960s inspired movie about Brooklyn, NY

If you've missed every major food knowledge source and do not know about it, yes this was the best pizza I've ever had, simple is genius. Greatness comes w a price, lil to no sitting, long lines and waiting. so if pizza isn't something you feel a need to be schooled on I'd leave this place to ppl that can... More
