Arrived right after opening time to have a choice of seats. This is a high-ceilinged placed on the main drag, Flatbush Ave. I found the service impeccable. You are warmly greeted, seated and flawlessly served. The servers take pride in their work, and it shows. The sushi (which comes without soup or salad) is extremely tasty. The pieces are not... I can't comment on the Sushi Bar food, although it looked like everyone sat there was having a good time. I came twice during my stay and both times had great sushi and rolls. It's really close to the Subway station, just across the road so I would recommend making the trip even if you are staying further afield. It... More

Hi. Do you like Sushi? Do you love it? Good. You're in luck. This third generation family owned gem of a restaurant serves the best sushi in Brooklyn. Its taste is delicious; its service is warm and friendly; and its sense of originality and good taste is without parallel. Go. Enjoy. Tip well. And appreciate the lost art of genuine... More

I love this place beyond words it's so good! I eat here all the time and the fun atmosphere is amazing. The art on the walls makes this place so incredibly interesting and unique. I've been eating here since i was a small child and the place is the same. This place definitely holds a lot of memories for me... More

Geido is popular, with a young, local, and vocal crowd. Since we are in our 70's we weren't a good fit, but decided to try it because it was packed and we thought the food must be good. Actually, the sashimi, sushi, and rolls were poor. The mixed tempura, however, was very tasty. What the restaurant excels in is price.... More

I love Giedo, best sushi in Park Slope. There is something on the menu for everyone and the service is great! Extremely authentic and great quality fish! Osamu and his crew know how to provide you the best dinning experience. I've been coming to Geido since 1998, I lived in the area and dinned here at least 2-3 times a... More

Oh Okonomiyaki, how I love thee! As a vegetarian, can be tough to find great things at a sushi restaurant. The Okonomiyaki was awesome! I started with a soba salad which even my young niece loved. Wife had sushi and raved!

My husband and I have patronized this restaurant for many years. We love it. Osamu, the owner, has created a very special welcoming, comfortable home-away-from-home atmosphere. Joyful and festive. The wait staff is terrific. . I have no clue why another reviewer would say there is no Japanese speaking staff – that is simply not the case. The staff appears... More

You are always greeted with happy welcoming workers, sometimes really happy. The walls are decorated with all kinds of images, that say "we love you osamu" The only bad part that it is only open for dinner. come here on a weekday since on the weekends it does get really busy. There is usually no wait at the bar. Watching... More
