For delicious Mexican food you can't go wrong with this restaurant. Its small plates are filled with amazing flavours and nicely executed. We had the quesadilla's, sandwiches, and tacos and all items we had were truly perfectly cooked and so tasty.

Very friendly service, decent atmosphere and yummy food. Loved the squash blossom and cheese quesadilla as well as the guacamole!

Chavela's has an awesome atmosphere in an awesome neighborhood! Let's start with the pre dinner margaritas they were exactly what we needed to start off with some great guacamole and salsas! Dinner was very good we all had different stuff and we all shared and they were all greatly paired with the sangria. The waitstaff was also very good and... More

Initially, we went to la superior two days prior to finding this gem. La superior denied my request for non spicy chicken in my quesadilla( which is clearly a giant fried empanada) even though they offered that type of chicken in their other menu items. What ?!!! I was glad to see this place had a a regular chicken quesadilla.... More

Authentic Mexican menu and very attentive wait staff...the chicken chipotle enchiladas were out of this world! Great homemade chips, too.

Yes, I know that's an impressive statement but its true. I have been to Mexico about 20 times and love the food there. Its hard to get authentic Mexican food in the U.S that duplicates everything you get in Mexico. Chavela's hits the mark. It was like eing in Guadalajara again. It also helps that great manager, Samuel, is from... More

Discovered this great spot in my daughter's new neighborhood of Crown Heights. It has great decor , fabulous food at great prices, delicious cocktails and every table was full on a Thursday evening. Mostly young professionals. Looks like it would be good for brunch and definitely good on your budget.

Great food, great prices, poor service. At 100 degrees outside in August there is no air conditioning in the restaurant. If you are willing to overlook the service and the amenities - you will enjoy the food

A great neighborhood place in Crown Heights, nice atmosphere inside and on the sidewalk, wonderful staff, varied menu. Homemade guac with toasted corn tortillas, great stewed pork served in a traditional molcajete, big bar with lots of beers to choose from and good sangria, a homemade habanero sauce, etc. etc. Prices reasonable. Give it a try.

Small portion plates that are just enough! Very delicious food for the prices and you won't be disappointed!
