Very authentic arepas and tostones. I happen to be Colombian, and I felt like I was back home. So rare to find the real deal anywhere in the US. Yummy! I recommend it.

Had the recommended dish here, pabello criollo which included slow cooked braised beef, rice, black beans and plantains with salty cheese. The beans and plantains were delicious. They made the dish. Beef could have used some seasoning and the arepa on the plate was bland, kind of like a thick tortilla, not my thing. They had a great selection of... More

Stopped here on a tour through Brooklyn and was so happy to enjoy some flavorful and tasty food. The arepas are so yummy and I could have enjoyed a basket full on a snowy day. Great place if you need gluten free and vegetarian options. Decent wine too!

Great service cuz it was empty when we walked in. Very diferent cuisine from Mexican . Features arepa: fat corn pancake. Not spicy at all. Nice location, near the art collective.

I live a couple blocks away, and I have to exercise some serious self control to not eat here every night! The prices are great, and the food is exquisite. I've tried the arepas, the empanadas, and a few of the entrees...you really can't go wrong with anything! Sometimes I order for pick up; other times I like to eat... More

My son had raved about this find. We had found the glories of arepas and guasacaca at a little place in Norwalk CT. So I figured we would have some good food. I was astounded at the fabulous food. And service was great and the price sure was right. My son insisted on getting the tostones even though I'm not... More

I stopped at Arepere's for lunch and enjoyed it so much, I went back for dinner. Not being familiar with Venezuela food, I can not speak to how authentic it is. But I know they had interesting and delicious food at a affordable price. Some really really outstanding beverages that I have never seen anywhere.

Authentic food, very good and inexpensive. It's a small place can get tight but worth it. They have another place just up Starr St down the block well worth the try as well.

A world away from trendy places in Manhattan or Williamsburg, this simple restaurant, with its bright cheerful decoration, serves delicious arepas, empanadas, salads, rice, beans and plantains, accompanied by strong, spicy sangria. Pure happiness.

My family and I enjoyed a tasty and affordable meal at this quaint, neighborhood restaurant. My finicky kids really enjoyed the empanadas and the beans and rice. I savored the arepas. Service is very good and the food comes promptly.

Thank George S
