I LOVE their calamari. I LOVE their pizza! I LOVE their salads. I LOVE the salmon. There's a breakfast dish with blackeyed peas that did not thrill me but I LOVE the Hill Cafe. It's a great place to meet friends and I recently celebrated my daughter's birthday with friends from various parts of the world. We all had a... More

It's the sort of place where you sit at the bar and order dinner over some great drinks and chat with the great bartenders. It's friendly, the food is excellent (personally, I love their steak frites w/salad served on a cutting board). It's in my neighborhood so I've been here often and highly recommend it.

The Hill Café is a quaint, neighborhood restaurant with an eclectic menu. The unassuming front belies the great food inside. The restaurant is charmingly decorated with tea lights, rough-hewn beams, and antique relics. It accommodates families with young children, but was also quite comfortable for our family of young adults. On a recent visit, instrumental funk and jazz were playing... More

This bar was close to our accommodation and we enjoyed it so much the first time that we returned for our last night. The menu is small but everything we tried was well cooked, presented and delicious. Max was the perfect host and a mean cocktail maker - you should try one!

We came here for new year's eve dinner and it was fantastic!!! We had a party of 8 and we were all happy with our food, drinks and the service. They have lots of options on the menu, including vegetarian. Lots of options for drinks as well, including craft beer. Thank you for the great experience!

Had friends meet us in Brooklyn and happened upon this cute little cafe on foot. One of my sons had the grilled chicken sandwich, the other had the breakfast with two eggs and sides, I enjoyed their hand-cut fries with a grapefruit infused wheat beer, fantastic! Service was very attentive.

Hill Cafe was our first stop on our several day visit to the city. My DD had the Vodka Penn which hit the mark; my DS wolfed his deconstructed beef bourgeoisie (sp). I had the Chipotle pork chop with apricot which was a wonderful play on spicey/sweet flavors. Friendly staff. A good neighborhood place to eat.

Best spot in Clinton Hill. Best food in Clinton Hill. Best drinks in Clinton Hill. Best folks in Clinton Hill. Probably one of the best places for true vegetarian food in the city. It's quite simple: if you do what you do with pride, it's bound to be good.
