Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Porterhouse for 2 was delicious. Tender and flavorful. Caesar Salad and Creamed Spinach were perfectly prepared. We enjoyed the atmosphere....felt like a smaller family experience, as opposed to some of the larger steakhouses in the area. It depends what kind of mood you are...in. We enjoy both types of atmospheres. Out server, Christian, was excellent. Didn't miss anything, while being relaxed and friendly. We will definitely eat here again when in Brooklyn.More

This was our first visit to New York and we’ve chosen De Stefanos from the web after good reviews. Food was up to perfection. We ordered ribeye on bone and fillet mignon. Meat was so tender and juicy cooked to perfection. Our waiter: Christian was...professional so friendly person. It was an excellent experience in Christmas days. If it happens to visit New York back again I would definitely come back againMore

If you don’t know about this place then you’re missing something. I bring friends here from out of town and they always leave impressed. The steaks are dry aged and as good as it gets. The way you ordering is the way you get it....The sides are all excellent. The service is top notch and not just because I am a regular. This is a Manhattan caliber restaurant in Williamsburg Brooklyn.More

DeStefano's is a small steakhouse at Brooklyn's rapidly gentrifying Williamsburg neighborhood. Decor is quaint and old-fashioned but tablecloth shows sign of wear. Menu is the simple steakhouse offering. Crab cake is crunchy with a rich, tasty aioli dressing. Porterhouse is solid but not outstanding. Seasoning...is on the mild side. Creme brulee cheesecake is a fair dessert. Service is fine and price the typical fine dining level.More

What a nice relaxing place. The bartender was friendly and greeted us immediately upon entering. We were early for our reservation so we had an appetizer and a drink at the bar. The appetizer was short rib rolls, just awesome. Got to try them. Once...seated our waiter was very attentive and friendly. We had the PorterHouse for 2 and Pear, Arugula and Pancetta Salad. Everything was prepared to perfection. Desert was Chocolate Trilogy which was the perfect ending.More

My wife and I and our 14 year old granddaughter visited DeStefano's at the end of our recent stay in Brooklyn. We'd been there several years ago with our older granddaughter, who had asked to eat at a steakhouse, and that experience was more than...enough to bring us back. Our second visit was as good as the first. Our younger granddaughter told us she was not much of a carnivore, but she very much enjoyed the meal nonetheless. We started with a caprese salad and went on to the 24 ounce ribeye, creamed corn and creamed spinach. Each was excellent. We ordered the steak medium rare, and it came just as ordered. Both sides were perfectly fine. Service was friendly and professional. DeStefano's was not inexpensive, but by New York standards the meal was certainly well worth the price. It deserves a five star rating.More

I was delighted to get last minute, Friday night reservations in this understated Williamsburg steakhouse. Family run, with photographs everywhere, the casual atmosphere and friendly staff were a delightful prelude to a surprisingly special dinner. My husband raved about the onion soup while my son...and I shared a typical Ceasar salad. When I asked if the cold, generous portion of Italian bread could be warmed, our waiter brought back oven-warmed, crisp on the outside/warm on the inside bread from the bakery across the street! My Native Lobster Ravioli was very good. My son and husband's Porterhouse for Two was amazing. The picture on the website almost doesn't do it justice. They raved about it and finished every morsel. We didn't have any room left for dessert. We will return.More

New York is full of steakhouses which are of an extremely high quality. Destefanos in Brooklyn is the best I’ve been to in 25 years of visiting New York. Don’t be fooled by the decor. It’s intentionally modest, and only a few years old. No need...for a $4M fit out here. Just extraordinary food and service. The bacon starter is a must, and the quality of the steaks sublime. Forget Cut, American Cut, Delmonicos etc. go to Williamsburg for an experience you will never forget.More

Ribeye Rare Cold 24 oz of very unique deliciousness. Creamed Spinach was like a casserole. Very different from typical creamed spinach. Great experience for steak lovers.

Dim lighting, no big crowd no long waiting. Make a reservation for pure food joy. Appetizers are small meals. Crab cakes and shrimp cocktail hit the spot before heaven arrived in the form of the main entree. Steak cooked to perfection, and mouth watering. We...were stuffed and satisfied, and yes we had dessert as well....yum!More

This steakhouse came recommended and it was a nice experience. Food was plain and simple. No fuss. It was not as good as Keens in NYC but a close second. Steaks were well cooked and flavoursome. Staff were excellent. Thought that the atmosphere was a...bit lacking but food made up for it.More

I didn't see a separate room but I'm positive a table of 10 would be no problem. They are very accommodating. Family atmosphere.
