Very well managed restaurant with excellent food and superb servers. Food was served what I would consider "family style" although they have a much fancier name. One dish we ordered consisted of steak, sausage, grilled pork chop and grilled chicken. The steak was tender, (top sirloin, I think)flavorful and perfectly cooked (rare plus). The chop was thick juicy and also... More

Yummy food! Can be crowded and a bit noisy. But the service and food make it worth a visit. Try to get there early to secure a table instead of sitting at the bar.

Yum, we had the sausage with fig, the truffle oil grilled bread, the empanadas, and grilled asparagus. All delicious. I tasted the Albariño (Spanish wine) and it was very good. But the Cab Franc blend from Uruguay was excellent so we both had that. Service got a bit slow at the end as the place was packed. It also got... More

Barcelona was a great find on our family trip to Boston. Right on Beacon St, it is easy to take the T or an Uber to/from. The food was excellent! We started with a meat and cheese board and then ordered a bunch of tapas. The kids especially loved the chorizo and egg dish. The only thing I do not... More

I think their food is great. I have a lot of dietary restrictions and allergies and the chef and manager really helped us out with what I can eat. Definitely try it out!

A number of restaurants have sorting yoo serving tapas but to differentiate you new to feel that you're getting the flavors of Iberia. Barcelona achieves that with a wide selection of small plates and larger items to share. Definitely share a bottle of wine or try the seasonal sangrias. I'll be returning. Staff are super friendly and attentive.

This high energy, attractive restaurant features excellent tapas -- some traditional and others imaginatively concocted. But it's not recommended for quiet conversation. The jamon serrano is wonderful, as are the empanadas and the duck liver toast. Service was spotty the night we visited, with many new staffers thrown into the weekend frenzy, but the veterans made up for it with... More

Always a treat coming here. I typically go around 5pm to enjoy the calm before the storm... it's always packed when I leave. Tonight, booked a table for 4 at 7pm, so I knew it would be crazy busy... it was. However, it didn't detract from the great time we had... the food and service carried the day... and it... More

Barcelona is a nice Spanish tapas restaurant. The decor is modern and relaxed. Service is efficient. And the food is tasty. My favorite item by far were the patatas bravas. Highly recommended!

We were four and totally enjoyed the evening. Food and service were excellent. The place was packed on a weekday so reserve a table. The locals tell me that it's currently very "in". Yes the food is authentic as we just came from Spain.

Description
Barcelona meets Brookline, and a sophisticated Boston neighborhood has a wine bar to call its own. A historic town located minutes from downtown Boston, Brookline is the perfect mixture of urban and country living. From large estates and recreational parks to boutiques and pedestrian-filled streets, Brookline offers a city atmosphere in a suburban setting. Located in Washington Square at 1700 Beacon Street, Barcelona is the newest addition to this lively neighborhood dining destination. A mix of antique wire glass, steel and reclaimed wood gives our newly built space a vintage appeal. The rustic, polished environment is the next best thing to eating tapas and drinking wine in our restaurant's namesake city. With hardwood floors, floor-to-ceiling windows, and spacious patio, the space has a European charm which fills the menu as well.
