First visit. Great location. This seems to be a very popular dining choice. We had a 20 minute wait, but it went by quickly as we people watched. There was plenty of food choices. Everyone should be able to find something they like. The service...More

Budget-wise this is a good eatery on River Street. We had a pizza which was very good. Just good food at average prices.

Our server, Shannon, was excellent with service and communication. She was friendly and smart. She made our visit especially enjoyable. The food was very good and reasonably priced in an area with a number of higher priced restaurants. We had the Savannah E-Pass that was...More

I've been going to this place ever since I was young. I've always gotten the chicken fingers and spuds. That's all I will ever get. Best chicken fingers and spuds I've ever had. It's moderately priced like you would expect something to be with it...More

Good and many times very busy pub on River Street. Famous for their chicken fingers and spuds (potato slices fried like a French fry). Cheap drinks which can get you trashed if you're not paying attention. Nice views of the river traffic.

I had the kid's order of chicken fingers which was just enough for me. Very meaty and flavorful. My companion had the fish and chips. It was a large portion of fish, but it was a little mushy. We both had the fried potatoes. They...More

Went there in my first visit ar Savannah and was one of the bad decisions I've made. Their food is flavorless and greasy. I've tried the chicken fingers and I ate poultry... just that. Without any flavor. The Spuds didn't even taste like potatoes or...More

Description
Family owned and operated since 1976, Spankys serves up the worlds best chicken finger! The story goes like this, in 1976, a few friends wanted to start a restaurant on River Street in Savannah. Then, the booming River Street we know today was only a dirt road, with only a few spots for dining on the waterfront. Enter two innovative friends who cut up a few pieces of tender, white meat chicken, battered and fried them to perfection, and said to each other 'hey, son, lets call them chicken fingers!' And so Spanky's was born, and its still run by the same man and his family and loyal wonderful staff today! Come on down and dine on a piece of Savannah history with us--we're waitin' on ya!
