Great restaurant in an old Grey Hound terminal. Gastro snacks and Champagne or beer etc in the bar next door. We popped in and had some oysters and bubbly at the bar and then went for dinner at The Grey. Great wine list and the...More

I went to The Grey with 4 girlfriends while we were on a girls trip. Excellent food, the service was amazing and so were the drinks. The atmosphere was the best-a restored greyhound station-so much history and redone in such a classy way. Highly recommend...More

OK people, this place is wonderful. The vision of Chef Bailey to incorporate many different dishes that are not your generic steak and potatoes type food is awesome. The menu is just one page but the food is definitely worthy of a full book with...More

I will pass along your comments to Mashama Laurie. Thanks for the lovely words and the support. If people do want to go to a burger place, I highly recommend the Crystal Beer Parlor - I love that joint. - Johno

Several dishes stayed in memory even months after dining there. The cucumber gazpacho was delightful and the cheese cake is the best i've had. Service is friendly and the variety and quality of the dishes surpassed my expectations.

When it was suggested that we eat here, I looked at the menu online, so I knew in advance that this would be a stretch for me. I wanted to try though, thinking maybe I just didn’t get it and I would be wowed by...More

Hey TigerFan85. Thanks for giving us a chance and I am sorry that Mashama's menu does not do it for you. It is certainly one of the risks of putting your heart on the plate and we understand that it does not work for everyone....More

Beautiful Art Deco type of place. Had the great pea Ragu and tomato vitello both excellent. Chicken curry and catfish tangine both outstanding. Excellent jacqueson champagne and a very rare wine: terre nere prephylloxera Etna Rosso. The wine list is limited but this restaurant takes...More

My wife wanted to try The Grey for her birthday. We made reservations for Sunday evening so we wouldn't have to fight the crowds and it worked out perfectly. The interior and feel of the place is very retro, yet sleek and new looking. Loved...More

Description
Bringing her personal take on Port City Southern food to a city of her youth is for Chef Mashama Bailey a dream come true. It allows her to tap into the full breadth of her skills and experiences which combine to create dishes that are deep, layered, and soulful in their flavors while simple and approachable in their presentation. With a penchant for regional produce, seafood and meats, Mashama's current take on these traditionally southern ingredients reflects the cultural and ethnic melting pot that you find in a port city such as Savannah and this style of food is perfectly at home in the beautifully restored Greyhound Bus Terminal.
