Food was good enough, not great. Seemed a little less than homemade. Our server was good, but not a lot of smiles or friendliness from the rest of the staff or others we interacted with.

J. Christopher's is a terrific place to visit and enjoy a great breakfast,or lunch meal. They are not open for dinner, so the early meals are what you get. And they are all wonderful. It is located on a rather busy street that cuts through the Historic District of Savannah. But don't let that deter you from oping for the... More
This was a unique spot for great breakfast food. I got the pancake and eggs meal and there was the perfect amount of food and it was delicious! We went on a Sunday and my advice is to get there before the church across the street lets out. We made it just in time before the whole place filled up.... More
We lived just above the place, so we were not willing to look for other breakfast options. The selection of food is great. Everything was always fresh and tasty. They serve great coffee too!
There was a race in Savannah the morning we were out and about so just driving by places we noticed J Christophers. We had never heard of the place but it was booming and we noticed they served breakfast so we figured it was worth a shot. We waited about 15 min but were seated quicker than we thought. The... More
I had a very solid breakfast a J Christopher, selecting the Pantry Feast. Everything was quite good, but not outstanding. It did not get crowded until later on Saturday morning so if you go early there is no wait. Staff was friendly and we were in and out quickly.
Stopped here for lunch while walking the historic district. loved the funky art and lunch was quick, delicious, and inexpensive!
Super friendly staff. Down to earth atmosphere. Their shrimp and grits set the new gold standard for our family (previously was OC Whites in St Augustine). Their Daily Specials were special and delicious. My husband wants to make this a routine stop whenever we travel between our home in Maryland and Florida. Would be a dream to be able to... More
We are locals. We support local businesses. That said, I have been appalled by the rudeness of the manager in charge of seating diners. We have dined at J. Christopher's on numerous occasions. We last visited for Sunday Brunch. Dressed in church attire (read: heels) 3 of our party of 4 were made to stand, with multiple tables empty/clean, until... More
Breakfast was delicious. I went with my standard fare of two eggs over easy, bacon, and English muffin. Bacon could have been a little crisper but was still good. My husband ordered banana pecan French toast and we were delighted to find that the bread was actually banana bread. Of course there were sliced bananas and pecans on top as... More

Is the pecan crusted chicken breast gluten free? Is the pecan coating simply pecans or there any other ingredients?
