We sat at a hightop in the bar/lounge area for a little less formal feel. It was right at 5:00 because we skipped lunch and were hungry. The atmosphere was just perfect! We enjoyed admiring the architecture, design and historic feel of this section of...the restaurant. The design and feel is timeless and beautiful. Our server Colin was just right! There when we needed but not pushy or rushing. He offered great recommendations because we were torn between several dishes. Upon his recommendation we started with the Crab Beignets and then my husband wanted oysters so we did Rockefeller. Both were amazing! Then we shared she crab soup and wedge salad. The soup was ok but not the best we’ve had. Lacking a little flavor. Salad was good but we’ve never really had a bad wedge. Tomatoes were so ripe and the dressing was great. Following, husband had Shrimp and Grit Cake which we both loved. Red sauce was a perfect southern accompaniment with the dish. I had the grouper with a tomato broth, amazing! Both were a little cool in temperature, but overall great flavors and dishes. We shared sides of creamed collard greens and Parmesan fries, both we great. For drinks we had Aperol Spritz, Rose and white sangria. The sangria was light and refreshing, not sweet at all. Overall, the experience was perfect! We were sooo hungry, so we did eat a lot but left full and happy.More

My wife and I stopped in on a Saturday for a mid-afternoon lunch based on positive ratings we've read on TA. We were not disappointed. Food and service were very good at a fair price. Vic's is hard to get into for lunch and dinner,...but we walked right in on a non-peak hour and had a much better meal and experience than we would've had if we had stopped a one of the many touristy restaurants along the river.More

This restaurant is convenient if you're down on the river front. The food was excellent and the restaurant pleasant. It's a bit pricey for the portions, but that's everything in Savannah. I had the shrimp and grit cakes and it was very good, wish it...had a couple more shrimp.More

Absolutely awful! Food was bad, over priced, over cooked and flavorless. My friend and I shared the octopus, it was cooked ok but the mix of Mediterranean flavors was off. I had the she crab soup, sub par and salty. The worst was the jumbo...scallops, over cooked with zero flavor, the risotto literally tasted like plain cooked rice and the sauce was straight up cream. The absolute worst part of the experience came at the end. Our reservation was at 9:30 and they close at 10. At 10:15 staff sarted sweeping all around us while we were still eating and setting up for the next day, dropping plates on top of each other noisily and talking and singing very loudly all around us. At one point some of the buss boys were even dancing. I find this beyond even being unprofessional, straight up rude! I don’t think I’ve ever even experienced this at a McDonald’s! I will never, ever come back and I will tell everyone to avoid this place like the plague, completely over rated!More

Food average, poor acoustics, lighting a bit harsh. Biggest turn-off was a bus-boy who had his trousers hanging below his butt. After an hour of watching this guy, I finally mentioned to our waiter and asked him to notify the manager. The next time i...saw the buss-boy, his trousers were pulled up but it was a real turn-off. Where oh where was the manager and fellow staff while this was happening?More

Since we were unable to get a reservation for the Main VIC restaurant during the recent visit, we enjoyed a late lunch at the Grill restaurant at the river level. Very good food in both restuarants. If you want to dine in the Main restaruant,...you need to make a reservation in advance. We have eaten there a few times before on different visits.More

We dined at Vic's in Aug 2022. The special of the evening was grilled halibut with 2 shrimp and asparagus. It was AMAZING! No doubt, the best meal I have ever had in Savannah. The fish was done to perfection. It could not have been...more perfect. Danielle gave excellent service. We had requested a seat by the window for our anniversary celebration and that was honored. You do need to schedule a reservation several days in advance. We were unable to obtain a reservation for the next evening but we ate dinner at the bar and enjoyed happy hour. We were thrilled with Vic's.More

Have been to Vic’s in the past and they do not disappoint. Service and food both spectacular. Glad we came back, there are a lot of options in Savannah, but Vic’s is worth coming back to again.

Several of our friends (independently) had told us not to miss Vic's upon our first trip to Savannah. Needless to say, we had to make it our first stop for lunch on Aug 22. Abigail, our server, made us feel like family. Very professional &...knowledgeable. It was so great. So much so that we went back for another lunch on Aug 24 before we left for home. Server Mike, with his smile, took over where Abigail had left off. Smooth and friendly. Thank you crew for delightful food and atmosphere. Ed WMore

Have been here for our anniversary and various birthdays for about 6 years. Last night experience was very disappointing. Confusion at the hostess station, menses not ready had to wait. Then the hostess forgot that she had already checked us in and forgot what table...we were going to , we had to tell her table 66. Food which in the past has been excellent was mediocre. Pecan crusted flounder was dry and the andouille sausage hash was just cubed potatoes and sausage no binder. Shellfish melange pasta was el dente , not in a good way . Very under done. And all that for $ 150.00 without tip. So disappointing not to think of this as our favorite restaurant anymore.More

Tonight I had dinner with a coworker and we walked from the Hampton Inn Historic district in the pouring rain but it was worth it. I had Chargrilled octopus with feta, olives, and tomatoes and she crab soup (picture attached) both very very good; Then...I had the pan seared scallops over risotto (picture attached)- excellent. A glass of Chardonnay rounded it all out nicely! Jesse did a nice job helping us.More
