We were there for a late lunch. Service was great. Food was not. Shrimp and grits were tasty, bur the shrimp were overcooked and tough. Besides that the crab cakes had a strange flavor. All three of the crab cake orderers agreed on this. My wife didn't finish hers and that is really unusual. The crab bisque was mediocre. All... More

Joe was an awesome server! The food was as good as any in Savannah. Best shrimp and grits on the waterfront.

We stopped for dinner with friends, asked if we had reservations with about 15 tables open, no they were not filled even after they sat us 20 minutes later. Our waiter was not overly attentive but did okay. Food was good but did fall a little short. Hubby had shrimp and grits, very tasty but we could not find many... More

Went to Boar's Head on recommendation from hotel staff. We usually stay away from eateries in main tourist areas, but it came highly recommended and we were pleasantly surprised. Hubby had steak, it was perfectly cooked. I had mahi, which was delicious too! Grits are fabulous!

We found this on Trip Advisor and we are SO glad we stopped at the Boar's Head! Our server, Joe, was very personable, honest and had fantastic suggestions. The Low Country Shrimp and Grits was incredibly tasty and fresh. No matter what you get, try the grits! We also had the peach BBQ salmon and it was fantastic. For dessert,... More

Excellent location overlooking the river. The shrimp scampi and stuffed shrimp both were great. We had great service even though it was very crowded on St. Patrick's Day weekend.

In the midst of the crazy Savannah St Patrick's celebration, Boar's Head was a great respite! Kevin was our server and was attentive and helpful! The BBQ shrimp appetizer was outstanding. We loved the holiday special, shrimp primavera, shrimp and grits and the chicken pasta dish. Highly recommend - nice central location as well!
