Copied from my Yelp review Came to town for a family wedding. Did a search for seafood restaurants. Discovered this location near the hotel I was staying at. Decided to give it a try. Most of the food selection is fried. Was hoping for a...more authentic representation of the seafood offerings for Savannah, GA but was disappointed in the meal our group selected. We ordered appetizers and drinks to go along with our meal. The kicker to our meal when it was all said and done was the bill. We were a party of 5 people. The menu says that for parties of 6 or more there will be an 18% gratuity applied to the bill. Since my party was only 5 I didn't think anything of it. Our server informed me that the PC was charging the 18% because of the total of the bill, 218 which included a 35ish gratuity. I was about to leave cash money tip but upon seeing the extra charges, I did not leave a cash tip. The server explained that because the bill was over $200 the auto gratuity was inserted into the bill. I didn't realize until after I left that our bill only came to 180 before taxes. I will not be going back to this restaurant.More

Nice location friendly people and that is it. The food is awful. I had the crab chowder it should be called salt chowder. It might have been OK if it was not for the abundance of salt. Then i had the shrimp poboy. Most probably...one of the worst I have had. The french fries were disgusting. They were from a frozen bag and tasteless My wife had the spinach dip. She thought it was OK I had one taste and I disagree. My advice is go somewhere else unless you are not eating the food.More

We’re local & this was our first outing to The Riverside District since the renovation. We valet parked at Marriott, & made our way down the ramp to the river. District Seafood was right there. We sat at outside tables ( still covid-alert. Quick service...from an easy choice menu. We were served in about 15 minutes max. The bar envelopes most of the space away from about 10 outdoor tables, maybe. This was an enjoyable late lunch experience that surprised us w/ flavor & quality. Being locals, we figured it would be a pricey tourist trap which it was not. Fried fish, fries, soft-shell crab sandwich were healthy servings at a good price. Locals, I would say to go there during off hours but that’s how we do it in tourist areas.More

We had 6 adults and wanted some seafood. The place was super busy so thought that must have been a good sign. We had to wait about 45 mins but it was across the street from the river and you could hand out there while...you waited. Our waitress was very friendly and you could tell worked hard. Most of us got the shrimp and grits, it was very different but very good. It is a grits cake with a sauce. Forgot to take a pic until we had finished half of it. It was a very large portion and was very filling. We also got fried green tomatoes and stuffed mushrooms. All were very good. The place is very old and could use some TLC, I know they want to keep the age in tack and understand. Just gave the feeling of not clean but saw no major evidence of it.More

Beautiful spot for icy cold beers and appetizers while watching River Walk activities. We stopped in on a very hot day, and we’re pleasantly surprised with the outdoor misters to keep us comfortable during our happy hour visit. Food was just ok, sort of blah....But the beer variety on tap plus the perfect location and ambiance made up for the lack luster food.More

Stopped for lunch and really enjoyed it. I had the catfish po boy sandwich and my wife had the chicken salad sandwich, both were very tasty. Our waitress was very friendly and kept our drinks filled. Price was fair for the food we received and...we would definitely return to this restaurant. Was very enjoyable to watch the ships traverse the channel while we ate.More

I thought the food was really good—I just wanted good ole seafood—no fancy frills or sauces & that is what I got. Hubby & daughter got fried shrimp while I tried the fried fish. Hush puppies were excellent. It was all good judging by our...clean plates. We will visit again.More

Another great meal at Dockside! We eat here every time we come to Savannah. This makes three! We just wanted a light lunch so I got the Savannah Salad with hot bacon dressing (yum!) and hubby got the bowl of crab chowder which came with...2 pieces of French bread and he got a smashed potato with bacon, cheese and sour cream. Zach, our server, was busier than a one armed wallpaper hanger, but was always there with another sweet tea or to see how we were doing. We’ll definitely be back!More

We accidentally ended up eating at Dockside when we thought we were going to Hudsons which is right next door! Our waiter, Michael, was friendly and knowledgeable. We finally realized we were at a different restaurant when he pointed out that the reason for the...giant parking lot was that they were three restaurants in this general location that shared the parking lot🤣 Both my husband and I ordered off of the chef’s daily special menu. He ordered the pasta with softshell crab and I got the mahi. My mahi was delicious and he enjoyed his pasta dish as well. We ended with Keylime pie and crème brûlée. The crème brûlée was amazing! Our only complaint was that we were sitting under an air conditioning vent which was really cold. Also, the restaurant is huge which is a little bit of a different experience than we were expectingMore

My wife and I visited on 4/15/22. This place is amazing. We were seated right away even though they were very busy. Great view of the river. The service was spot on. The food is outstanding and the atmosphere reminds you of a local pub....The only complaint is parking in Savannah on Friday evening is hell, but that’s not the restaurant’s fault.More

I never really rate 5 stars. The mussels were amazing! There was a cruise ship blocking the view of the River. Catfish sandwich was good & burger was good. Service was excellent. I would come back.
