This place is good! The food is fresh, cooked to order and made with care. Cheap too. I hit it several times for lunch and once for dinner while I was working in Savannah.

The regular restaurant at Hirano's has a small menu of steamed or fried rice, with the meat or seafood of your choice, and a large portion of stir-fried vegetables. If you eat in the restaurant, you also have a choice of salad with ginger dressing or miso soup [not for take-out]. I had the fish this time, and it was... More

The lunch special sushi rolls are below average and overpriced. The "fresh" ginger literally smells and taste like cleaning solution. I mentioned it to the waitress who said the chef dries out the ginger. This is no explanation why it tastes terrible. Anyway, as the title reads, this is NOT the good Hirano's which is on Habersham.

Was a fun quick place to go but the sushi was barely colored tiny chopped up pieces of fish rolled in rice and then rolled in seaweed....chicken was really over cooked with veggies that seemed already cooked once...not sure if I am missing something here about how great it is??? Grungy, noisy and CHEAP... fast and edible....fun in a quick... More

Hubby and I went for early dinner. We got the early bird for two shrimp and chicken along with 2 sushi rolls. It was really good and wonderful service. Spent around $40 we both brought food home for next day.

I've lived in savannah a while, and finding consistently delicious sushi is tough. Hirano's has been around for a while and every time we go, it's great!

Hirano's is a neat place. It's small. It's hectic. The wait staff is running all over the place, doing everything at once. But they're fun to talk to. It's all very casual, sort of off the wall. Reminds me of one of those student restaurants in Paris where everybody just seems to be winging it. I ordered some sushi and... More

I first heard about this place from locals when I moved to Savannah. Great food, cheap price, and a local favorite. Love getting takeout chicken teriyaki, which is usually ready quickly and a large portion size. The atmosphere is a little crowded and dated, but the food and price makes it worth going. Great for a quick and easy Japanese... More

The restaurant was hopping busy for a Sunday evening. This may explain the slow and poor service. The food was just ok. Nothing spectacular but predictable. $43 for two
