We had the buffet for eight people. No one left hungry. Would like to have had dessert on the bar instead of just one choice after the meal. The chicken was great. The fish was not the best quality. The Mac and cheese is worth...More

Not simply a pirate themed restaurant, the location was originality an Inn frequented by pirates in the 18th century. They play up their pirate history in the decor but they don’t over do it. No waiters with eye patches and parrots on their shoulders. The...More

Absolutely delicious! Party of 7 and we all had cocktails and dinner entrees. Several tried one of the specials, cheese filled tortellini with a creamy red sauce and shrimp, I had shrimp scampi, one person had fried chicken (to die for) and husband had a...More

There is not much I can say except YUM! The only thing is leaving the peeling on the potato and making mashed potatoes with the peeling still on there. The atmosphere is terrific, the service is great, the people very friendly. Once I go back,...More

I had order a crab melt with coleslaw and it wasn't very good , the sandwich nor the slaw. the Service was very good though. Very interesting building but as far as the food goes, not for me.

The restaurant offers a great atmosphere and is historically significant. The food is good and the portions are quite generous. After dinner, take a short tour of this building built in the early 1700's. Just ask at the hostess desk, or look for the pirates...More

I would concur with earlier response. Came in a cab and was dropped off at door. It is an old building pieced together several structures, so there are some steps and unevenness.

The entire family is sure to enjoy Savannah's most intriguing & historic restaurant. At the Pirates' House, our most precious treasure is the food. Situated in Trustees Garden, merely a scant block from the Savannah River, the Famous Pirates' House is the most historic spot in Georgia. The Herb House, erected in 1734, located inside the Pirates' House, is said to be the oldest house in Georgia. The Pirates' House first opened in 1753 as an inn for seafarers and fast became a meeting point for blood-thirsty pirates & sailors. Enthusiastically recommended by AAA, Food & Wine and Redbook.
