Planned to stop here after attending a trade show in Baltimore. The reviews were spot on. The staff was friendly and professional. The meal, from appetizer to dessert, was delightful and delicious. Our server, Mark, was exceptional and knew what we needed before we asked. He took the time to explain how things were prepared, happily accommodated any "tweeks" to... More

It's always a treat to dine at Petit Louis - I always wonder why I don't go more often - the selections are consistently well-executed. Order a great bottle of wine and indulge. For my last dinner, I chose duck breast with foie gras with no regrets - it was amazing. My table mates had the steak, which was also... More

we ducked in to Petit Louis Bistro on a rainy Wednesday night, right on time for our reservation. We were ushered to beautifully upholstered red velvet banquette, near a fireplace in the main dining room. Service was prompt, professional, and friendly. The menu is ample without being extravagant, with plenty of choices, in keeping with a french bistro. My plate... More

This was my first visit to petit louis, suggested by a friend who has pledged to dine there every week as a gift to herself(!)-and I am very pleased to have listenned to her. First of all, the ambiance and the service were great and very French. I have been to France many times and being in Petit Louis was... More

Usually eat in the downtown area around the Inner Harbor. For a birthday celebration Petit Louis was suggested. A great find on the outskirts of Baltimore. Excellant food and service (Mike was our server). This Paris style Bistro appears to have a following of locals from the area. Will be back!

This is one of three restaurants of the same name, by the same owners, in Baltimore, Savannah, and Charleston, SC. We had been to the Savannah, been impressed, and started in on the hat trick. Well worth it!! French high end bistro fare, served in a warm, evocative setting (wood burning fireplace) near the Johns Hopkins campus. Excellent mussels. First... More

Had lunch here Sunday and, except for one item, everything was perfect. We had the PÂTÉ MAISON, steak and eggs, soup of the day and the duck breast. The service was excellent as usual, and the food prepared perfectly, EXCEPT that the duck breast, which, when asked, I specifically requested be pink, came out overcooked...no pink to be found. This... More

Took our daughter for her 25th. We were impressed from the moment we sat down. The decor. reminded us of Paris. The service was great. Waite staff properly trained. The food was authentic and delicious. We had the lamb and duck entrees. Great selection of cheeses and deserts were yummy. Be prepared for a pricey bill but it is all... More

I write this mediocre review with some regret. This could really be the gem that the management strives for it to be...so close... and its a short walk away for me. That sets it up as the expensive spot on the walking tour of establishments nearby. And who doesn't want to spend a bit extra on special nights. Plus: Charming.... More

The menu is a blast from the past. We ordered the French onion soup, which wasn't that prolong hot or had an amazing flavor and escargots which were out of the shell... Main courses of confit Dutch and swordfish were ok , but not wry refined and oily ( fish). We had opera cake to share , which was tasty... More
