Decided to do something different for Valentines and went to see Bob Hallock perform at Germanos. Got seated and were ignored by the wait staff for a while. When our waiter came he stated he will be right back with water and bread. Ten minutes later, another staff approached us saying she was wondering if we had been helped, noticing... More

We are glad you enjoyed the show and the food. I remember you since you declined to complete the comment cards which provide us with an opportunity to see where we need to improve. We also use the cards as entries for a giveaway of a bottle of Chianti. Since you did not express your concerns to us, I assumed... More

We stopped here for lunch on a whim and were very impressed with the waiter and the food. He was very knowledgeable and guided us in the right direction in terms of portions and recommendations, and everything was fantastic: the octopus over faro, the brussel sprouts, the gnocchi, and the cavatelli. We finished with cheesecake, which was truly the best... More

I was visiting Baltimore with a group for a convention and was given the task of finding a place to eat. Most of the restaurants I had been to before were booked so the concierge recommended Germano's. I think they were having some difficulties the evening we visited. There were plenty of empty tables and we had a reservation, but... More

Thank you for your considerate feedback. We did have a problem with our computer that night that affected the timing of our kitchen and timing is critical to the delivery of our food to the table since it is all prepared fresh to the order. Fortunately, the problem has been addressed. More

The manager, James our waiter, and the food were outstanding. However, the owner reneged on his promise to provide transportation from our hotel to and from the restaurant. He went so far as to comment that both our hotel concierge and myself were confused. Confused 3 times ? I don't think so.

We are sorry for the miscommunication. Germano is happy to provide complimentary transportation whenever feasible but when traffic is gridlocked on some days and we are busy, as was the case when you dined with us, he cannot leave the restaurant. At some point between your communication with him and his subsequent conversation with your hotel, he advised that he... More

How could I pass up the "Thyme for Love"...Tito's vodka, raspberries, lime juice, fresh thyme, peach bitters. And that's how our delicious late night dinner started last night. And it just kept getting better. Here are highlights: Tender gnocchi with a light gorgonzola cream sauce. Baked ricotta spinach balls. Tomato stacked with mozzarella and pesto. The bartender came and check... More

Great food. Small plates are great for sharing. We had the grilled squid, in a lemon/olive oil sauce and was awesome! Mushroom flatbread with truffle oil was very good, too. Salads were lightly dressed, the way they should be. And a full selection of wines and liquor.

We found the small plates Italian concept worked very well, allowing us to try and share a variety of dishes. The beet ravioli and grilled octopus were great, and the grilled artichoke and rockfish special were very good. Service was friendly and efficient.

My wife and I chose this restaurant because of the positive reviews on yelp. We ate there on a weekday afternoon at four o'clock p.m. I ordered the lasagna and she ordered thefusili al marscapone. The restaurant was essentially empty except for us. We were very excited because it was a beautiful day and we were eating at an outside... More

We pride ourselves on being responsive to our customers and providing a positive dining experience. In this case, a piece of transparent plastic from the lid of the food container from which an ingredient was stored had splintered and inadvertently was served in the dish. We investigated the origin of the problem and have instituted a control to ensure this... More

I had the pleasure of visiting Germano's for the first time to hear my friend and his jazz band. I hadn't been to Little Italy in years. The small plate concept always works for me, so I was doubly impressed with the food. It was delicious! My husband even ordered a dish to go! James, our server, was absolutely wonderful!... More

Germano Fabiani has sparked a renaissance in Little Italy with his newest venture, Germano's PIATTINI (small plates), a contemporary Italian kitchen and bar and upstairs cabaret, with a small plates and paired brews menu that excites the palate and offers something for every taste. Germano has turned the 200 year old establishment into a "terzo", a home away from home and work. Our scrumptious menu—try the Tartufo Bianco (white truffle pizza), Carciofi Fritti (Prosecco battered fried long stem artichokes) and Polpette Kobe (Kobe beef meatballs)-- is allergy aware (we are a nut-free facility) and includes vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options...full bar and wine list and wines by the glass (3 oz. & 6 oz.), beers by the bottle and a selection of draft IPA’s, stouts, ales/pils, seasonals /wheats and imports on rotation, creative cocktails, and our continued commitment to bring you an outstanding lineup of cabaret--jazz, opera, urban folk, bluegrass, theater, Broadway and more—

In the upstairs Cabaret, in speakeasy style, Germano's PIATTINI offers “dinner and a show,”featuring jazz, bluegrass, opera, indie music, theater and, of course, cabaret. The Cabaret opens at 6pm for pre-show dining. Performances begin at 7:30pm unless otherwise indicated. Inquire about cover charge. Performances are for dining patrons only. Please note that while dinner reservations can be made over the phone or online, you are only guaranteed a seat in the Cabaret upon the purchase of your ticket. Tickets may be purchased online or by calling the venue.

The Gastropub seats 40 among high-top tables and bar. Renovations include original brick façade and terrazzo brass-inlaid floor. The stunning bar, charcuterie station and tables are constructed of repurposed barnwood with wrought iron hinges and are glass topped with copper fittings. A hand-carved Amish ladder floats above the bar, converted for bar utility.

The Barn Room is located on the first level and seats 22 with the focal point a vintage hand-turned spindled marble Chef’s Table. The walls and floor are made of repurposed wood from a red Amish barn and are complemented by hand painted murals.

The Tuscan Room seats 50, with exposed brick walls and original Tuscan frescoes; uncurtained windows welcome the pageantry of Little Italy.

The Cabaret seats 90 and is outfitted with an in-tune Yamaha G-1 baby grand and sound system.

Vintage posters and artwork from the owner’s personal collection adorn the walls of the restaurant.

Germano's PIATTINI's Private Dining Team works diligently with event managers to craft memorable on-premises dining experiences for clients and their guests. For more information about special seasonal menus and suggested wine and beer pairings, contact the venue.

Germano's PIATTINI has earned a reputation for creating unique and delicious dining experiences. For a full listing of the venue's culinary, performance and visual arts events, visit the website.
