We were seated at table between kitchen and bathrooms. There were other tables available, but no one had bothered to clear them.We waited ten minutes, and no one came to take our order- even though the blonde manager [owner?] and members of the staff were sitting at a table in the dining area near us. We were finally waited on... More
Crab cakes are wonderful, Chicken Pot Pie is delicious and the Turkey Dinner is the bomb! Leave room for desserts as they are homemade and they go quickly. We usually reserve our desserts before we even order of dinner. Everything here is tasty and delicious!
Enjoyed lunch at Cafe Hon recently. It's a good place to enjoy with friends or family with the standard sandwich menu. Service was good and the only drawback might be finding parking on 36th Street.
We drove up to the Avenue for Christmas shopping and had to eat at Cafe Hon again. The food is still really good and our waiter Manny was very attentive. There was even a Christmas parade out front, it made for a really nice day.
Have eaten here several times over many years. Still interesting but losing it's local feeling and becoming more of a "tourist trap." Writing this review is tough the apple crumb was amazing for dessert but the rest of the lunch was mundane supposed to iconic but really just an average meal. Fish and chips ok, crab soup and bisque both ok, the apple crumb dessert was transcendent however maybe caught them on an off day

Very good reply (on 16th April) to that horrible review... Well done! People can be so mean! I applaud your bravery in challenging this, which was professional and polite. I live in the UK and have come on here after watching Kitchen Nightmares. But if I ever come to Baltimore, this is the first place I will come. Good luck with your beautiful restaurant. By the way, we say it a little differently over here and call each other 'Hun', so the phrase must have somehow made its way all the way from Baltimore :)
