I don't write about places I don't approve of. Having said that this certainly one of the best dining experiences we've had. Met some people there whom we knew but weren't from Baltimore who joined us. The food was very good and very well prepared. The wait staff was so efficient it almost become embarassing, (Don't try to pour your... More

This restaurant/ sine bar really looks like wine restaurants we have in france. Decoration is nice and there are sometimes art exhibitions there. Music is good ( a bit too loud) and food is great and creative. Waiters are nice.

live jazz in Baltimore is rare!with no cover, very rare.with the addition of a stage this is really one of the few joints in town set up to have live music and dinner.the trumpet player was great.small selection of white wines and as usual VERY over priced.service was comical.almost a floor show.they have an option to remove the glass wall on... We visited on a Sunday night. Not many people were there but enjoyed the live jazz music with a 4 piece ensemble. Furnishings are not much - tables are spartan and comfortable chairs in need of replacement or repair. Agree with other reviews that this is largely a "small plates" kind of place. Our server, who looked like a counter-culture... More

The bartender was quite nice and provided excellent suggestions. Prices ate affordable and the selection is quite good. The cocktails are crafted with care and is my understanding that the main bartender was the one that created the signature drinks that are amazing.

In a North Western suburb of Baltimore known as ,"Hampden." It is near Goucher College, and St. Mary's Seminary. It is on 36th street. If you close your eyes and stand there. The aromas from the various Cafes and Bistros could trick your senses into believing your some where in Spain, Portugal or Italy. On this Sunday Night we chose... More

Loved it here. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food and wine. Love that it's right in the heart of Hampden. Fits in perfectly.

Let me start by saying the food is shockingly good! The menu is very approachable and the the dishes complement the wine served very well. Unfortunately this wine bar lacks the atmosphere, service, or professionalism of other wine bars i have visted (pure wine cafe and iron bridge wine company). There is no formal hostess or host and my family... More

definitely small plates and you'll need to share if you are hungry. Food flavor very good, but everything was way too salty. We were there on a Wednesday night and it was empty. Might try a weekend before I rule out.

Its called a wine bar because the emphasis is on wine, which is fine, especially in the summertime....sorry could'nt help myself. The wine selection is great, tried a couple wines and they were awesome. The food is basically ala carte, with a few dinner specials on a chalk board. Maybe I am just not used to this type of restaurant,... More
