We were staying at the Hotel Limpia and looking for a restaurant to eat at before our evening Star Party at the McDonald Observatory. The food was wonderful! From the salad, bread, wine and main course, we enjoyed every morsel. The service was very good. We were never having to wait for anything. We look forward to going back in... More

Ate here twice with my tour group about seven days apart. All of the meals were well prepared and tasty. Some down home service with a pretty good wine list. One thing that stood our for the two meals was the different veggies and prep style on the different nights. We all appreciated the change, and the full bar...

My family and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner in a very remote part of Texas. The night began with cocktails & appetizers before we jumped into dinner & desert. The Bistro is a small and warm little restaurant tucked within Ft. Davis...great place to dine with a family or a weekend getaway.

We knew from reading the other reviews that we might need a reservation or have to wait but we took a chance and walked over to see what the wait would be. The response? A rude "we are full". What? What restaurant says that? No, "it will be this amount of time before we can get you a table"? Perhaps... More

I am truly sorry that your experience with our hostess was less than friendly. Although reservations are sometimes required on busy weekend nights (we do frequently fill to capacity) , there is no excuse for anything less than a warm welcome. I hope that you will consider giving us another chance on your next visit. Please do make a reservation!... More

From the size of Ft Davis, we really didn't expect to find a good restaurant. We had to wait to be seated, and I can understand why. The friend I was with, is a vegetarian and picky too. She loved her grilled vegetables and the soup. I had fish and really enjoyed it. We liked it so much that we... More

My wife and I ate here the night we stayed at the Hotel Limpia. The calamari appetizer was big and very well done. My wife had a great Caesar salad with shrimp and I had the Beef Bourguignon which was outstanding. And Eric our waiter was a truly enjoyable young man.

Very good bacon cheeseburger, served with fries. Friendly hostess and good service. Portions were large...we shared a burger plate.

Staying at Indian Lodge in the Davis Mountains, we decided to treat ourselves to a nice meal. For such a small town, we had a surprisingly good dinner. I had the pasta with sundried tomatoes, the pasta could have used some more sauce but otherwise it was very good. Friendly and helpful service. We were seated next to the window... More

My wife and I ate dinner here on a Wednesday about 6 pm. The restaraunt was full, and we waited about 5 minutes for a table. We were promptly then seated , and the waitress brought out some delicious butter and bread. We ordered our food, my wife ordering and appetizer of gouda cheese fries with bacon. The plate of...
