The atmosphere at the Big O Saloon takes you back to days gone by. The food is good and the staff are super friendly. The gas station and store are also like going back in time when life was slower and people congregated at the local store. Worth the stop on the way to Young's River Falls!

I have stopped at the Onley Store, several times over the years. This historical Store/Gas Station, and now a Saloon, is like a time capsule of the way things were. This place is all alone, just South East of Astoria on highway 202. Take the time to stop in, even if just to look around. The Saloon has recently been... More

Food was just fine pub food. The atmosphere is really what makes this place though. The wait staff is really friendly and responsive. It is in the middle of nowhere and the attached store is neat. They do not take Amex and there is an atm on site. They take all other cards though. No kids menu to my knowledge...bowls... More

The Big O is a real slice of rural Oregon 10 miles SE of Astoria on 202 . The Olney store has been there for ever and a local family added the saloon some time ago. The décor is perfect with a logging/hunting/fishing theme. It's clean, friendly and though it's changed hands to different local operators the spirit and authenticity... More

This is a great place to stop and eat on the way to the Elk Preserve. Nice homey country ambiance, nice locals, beautiful scenery and GOOD bar food. Go there, and then go see the awesome elk!

OR-202 is a great motorcycle road and this is a fun stop for a burger - or a Sunday Taco. The burgers are good, and the Tacos are actually more like a burrito. Not a large place, but a nice outdoor space when the weather is nice. They do have regular fuel, but not premium.

Just a few miles from Astoria, Oregon, and a fun ride on a motorcycle – with a grid bridge and lots of curves – is the Big O in Olney. OK, there's not much more to this southern hamlet on 202, but this general store, bar and eatery makes up for not having neighbors or bling. We stop for a... More

Olney, Oregon is located 10 miles from the center of Astoria out Hwy. 202 towards Jewell. The Big O Saloon is attached to the community grocery store and gas station, which hasn't changed for 50 years. The menu is small (bar food, burgers, etc) but good. It has a woodsy country feel to it with a pot belly woodstove keeping... More
