I love Garryowens. They have an extensive selection of draft beers including many craft beers. Their food is authentic Irish pub food...all good. I highly recommend making a reservation. This place is busy especially on weekends.

A great Historic pub to have drinks with friends. If you're in Gettysburg for drinks you can't go wrong.

My wife and I are visiting. Gettysburg for my birthday and we wanted to find a local place. The atmosphere did not disappoint. Historical Gettysburg feel mixed with Irish pub. The only criticism would be that it was a bit cold. Granted it was freezing outside, but where we sat we could feel a chill. Derrek was an excellent waiter... More

Stopped in for dinner our first night in town (everyone loved what they had, from burgers to stew to an Ulster Fry), and ended up in the upstairs area having drinks. Some local folks started a jam session, a nice bonus. We went back the next night for dinner and drinks again - wait staff was even better than the... More

The food and service are amazing. It is a fairly small restaurant and normally very busy. The wait is absolutely worth it. I highly recommend the Irish Onion Soup and the traditional fry up for breakfast. The Shepard's Pie and Irish stew are both wonderful as well. Great selection of beers and Whiskey as well.

My best friend and I ate at the pub right before going out to the square to celebrate ringing in of the New Year. Fantastic food, the Irish Onion Soup is my absolute favorite, I get it every time I visit town!

Wonderful pub experience. The shepherd's pie is the best we have ever had and the fish and chips were amazing. Finished off with the bread pudding, which was gooey and tasty. Will definitely go there again.

The exterior of this pub is very unassuming but don't let it dissuade you from visiting. Inside, you'll find a wonderfully warm and inviting local pub. I was there for lunch and wasn't able to enjoy any live music, but the excellent wait staff and tasty food alone are worth the visit. The atmosphere was very local, just what you'd... More

Open 7 days for lunch & dinner, The Garryowen, or "The GO" as it's know to our regulars, is as inviting as any pub found back in the old country with friendly service, a large selection of Irish whiskies, the best of Ireland's draft beers, and the perfect pour of Guinness which is complimented with a carefully picked selection of international and domestic premium beers, wines and spirits. Our kitchen prepares the most authentic Irish fare in the area from the owners' family recipes, with many ingredients imported directly from Ireland. Paired with traditional pub fare, made in house daily from scratch with local ingredients where possible. Our menu is sure to satisfy the most discerning of tastes. Enjoy your meal in our cozy dining room, by the fireplace or at the bar.The first and third Sundays of each month are a special treat for lovers of Irish music, with a traditional 'Seisun' from 2 til 5pm. Reservations are highly recommended.
